I had a million pound target party the other night... (Indian takeaway and afew drinks)... glad everyone turned up! ;-)

when you reach your target - how are you going to celebrate? (apart from have a massive Christmas meal)...
My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.

    48.78% towards 2015 target.

    105.3% towards 2014 target. :j

Sooooo impatient for payday now! Just two more to go for 2014.

slowlyfading - put me down for £12,000 again for 2015 :D

I was just reflecting on how crap interest rates are - it's to our credit that we're saving so much with so little incentive.

At 5% interest, I would have earned over £4,000 in interest this year.

At present, I'm on track to earn about £2,400 in interest, which isn't bad (for very little effort - just standing orders to move money between accounts), but it's annoying that rates are so low. :(

  • Lovely to see people posting their targets for 2015. SF please put me down for £10k.

It is quite unlikely that I will make this amount (depending on the job front next year) but I want to aim high and challenge myself. If a regular paying job does come around then I can always chnage it to higher.

    Hello,

I'd like to join this please! My gf and I have just paid off our mortgage! (Hurrah!) But now I need to get my emergency fund back up to speed, and I have increased my contribution to my monthly investments. Ideally I would go for the £12k but we are thinking of buying a campervan in the spring, so I will say £8k for now.

I'm also decluttering my house and selling stuff I don't need to supplement my "pocket money", so this could contribute a bit more!

slowlyfading can you put me down for £5000 in 2015 please?

I'm not sure if I will make it, but aim high and all that. We have all done so well this year, it's fantastic! :)

  • Great milestones for me this month!

I've just paid of my mortgage from my "Save a pound a day" tin, and hit my annual saving target a month early.

Out tonight to celebrate my mortgage-free status with a posh meal and a bottle of champers. It's been a long while coming, so tonight is not the night for saving! :j  :j

PS Sorry for all the dizzying emoticons, but today is one of those days when they are deserved! (:D )
