It's been a difficult few months, my DM being taken very ill and sadly passing away four weeks later at the end of July. Sorting out her home was horrible, DB and I had no heart to do it but managed it eventually, sold much of the contents, and donated to RBL. Not the way to reach my goal but I was fortunate (depending on how you look at it) to inherit an amount which means I have surpassed my savings goal. It has already been invested wisely so I'll fill in the spreadsheet, then back out for the rest of the challenge but look forward to starting again with the next one. Thanks for all the support and good luck everyone in reaching your goal :).

Only seeing this now. I'm so sorry for your loss, sparrer. :( Thinking of you and your family, big hugs xxxx

#18 declaring £1512.89 for October - it was a challenging month on several levels, so happy with that as I always knew Autumn was going to be expensive. This month takes me past £20k for the year too, getting to £24k looks marginal but I might just make it :)
  • Sorry nothing from me again! :(

  • October was another strange month.

Saved £516.84. I haven't the foggiest if this figure includes the £70 that goes to my investments. I suspect not.

Got £15.73 as interest from banks. Got old house deposit back, spent a lot on other things. Had to pay for car insurance (annual lump sum), road tax (6 months).

    Good luck everyone! :)
