I added my June update yesterday but I think there was a technical error so I'll do it again now. That's another box filled for June
. I'm over half way but I'm going to try and be a bit harder on myself as lately I've been a bit lax.
Our pay deal is currently being negotiated at work, and if the proposal is agreed I'll get a payment of £840 (I'll end up with about 60% of that due to tax and student loan) but anything I get will go in the savings...Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Regret not a penny saved for the month of June, all extra cash and more has been spent on petrol and bits and pieces for DM, who is in hospital some 80 miles away. A difficult round journey but having an MPG meter on the dash makes sure I drive sensibly so am pleased to be returning up to 50.2mpg at the moment. Sadly DM won't be going home, we're just waiting for a residential home for her in the area, so saving is going to be impossibly for some time to come.
I shan't drop out of the challenge though as it's not (hopefully) going to be a permanent thing, once she's settled in an RH I'll be back to visiting weekly instead of daily.
Good luck all, keep up the good work0 -
I'm showing a saving of £130.65 in KMyMoney for June.
That figure doesnt include:
+ moved £100 to my cash ISA.
+ moved £70 to my S&S ISA
+ £7.39 interest for cash ISA
+ £8.64 for selling some of my old DVDs that I dont need any more.
Plus:
+ waiting for expenses for a work business trip
- I loaned a chunk of my money to a relative
Seems the total for June is £316.68

Already stashed away £1302 for July too, so should be another good month.0 -
Hello hello!
I wonder, are latecomers allowed to join the challenge? I managed to wipe out my credit card debt earlier this year and at the same time kick start some savings.... It'd be great to join a savings challenge thread to keep me on the straight and narrow!
I currently have £2,424.62 in my ISA and aiming to have £6,000 by the end of the year.Santander 0% £1,529.94
