Im back in the groove, spending a few hours sorting through the finances and paying off a few bills and working out the savings for the coming month.

    Hopefully it'll be a good one :)

My total for this month is £1083.81. But that includes interest from a 2yr 4% FRISA that recently matured - oh why didn't I fix for longer?!

I just opened a second TSB Plus current account so have transferred some money into that; I just need to decide what to do with the rest of the money. I think I may put it into my S&S ISA.

Worry not SF, some of us are still working our figures out! Actually I always do my post last thing on the last of the month, as I like to include any last minute expenses before scraping together what's left and popping it all in the savings pot.

This month has seen extra costs for; re-wiring the shower, gardening tools, utilities bill for no.1 son's flat at uni, and OH's birthday. That all added up to quite a bit. I've also come into some money this month, from an relative's Will - but won't be including it here as it doesn't feel like MY money, and I've decided to put it away in a separate account to help the boys with a deposit for their first property, when they reach that stage in life.

So that's a long-winded way of saying...£1010.98 added for June giving a total at the half-way point of £ 9676.72

    Happy saving everyone.
