Yum, I've got a can of chick peas that I was wondering what to do with, gotta ask myself why I bought it in the first place, better check they're still in date lol

Don't worry about dates too much on tinned goods if the tin remains in good condition :)

    Groundhog Day? :p

it has been one of those weeks!!! :(

Lunch to work today, and I will take in an unopened box of chocolate biscuits to work as it is my turn to take in treats. OH and I definitely do NOT need to eat them, and it will save buying something specially.

OH has ambitions to make a fish pie tonight, from fish he caught, so I will need to help him with the white sauce :)

OOoohhh these look lovely (minus the chorizo - eewwww) and I've been looking for a tried and tested falafel recipe too (it suggests it is like falafel?) so I might give these a go at the weekend once I work out the equivalent of dried chickpeas (I have some to use up)

They were very good, I've had her kindey bean burgers before. The great thing is that once you've made them you can freeze them. I'm looking forward to the burgers for lunch! I'm not allowed to buy any more chickpeas til the end of the month, which is a shame! Check out http://theppk.com too, they have great veggie recipes. Not that I'm a veggie.

My healthy eating and exercise plans have gone to pot this week too. It is definitely tiredness that is the culprit - I have been coming home from work and struggling to do anything other than watch TV.

Today I have a half day from work so I plan to get put for a walk while it is still light and then go for a swim this evening. Healthy eating starts again NOW too.

I am on a 12 week weight management course at my local community centre and I know how dedicated and determined you have to be to stick to a new regime

Keep going and perhaps we can support each other

Have a look at this website

    https://smartswaps.change4life.co.uk/

Great ideas AND money off coupons. We can be fit and frugal :rotfl:

Can you please tell us what the Billy Can challenge is please or put up a link

Problems with MSE mean I can't add a direct link but I did include the url of the www frugal forums co uk where it's being run. I no longer run any other challenges on MSE, other than this frugal living one.

You can read about the first 'Billy Can' by visiting post one of this challenge and looking towards the bottom of the HANDY LINKS section.

For anyone wanting to quit spending on habitual non-essentials, you do not need to buy patches, chewing gum, ecigs or any other substitutes. I won't discuss it further on here because some folks don't like it, apparently, so they report me. LOL
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

That's a shame Frugaldom! I smoked for YEARS and quit five or six years back and didn't use any subs. They never worked for me (although Mr Mooo is over a year now with an e-cig. I'd rather he would quit that too, but at least the house smells better!)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver! Xmas Saver!
NSD yesterday.. Would have previously run to the shop but decided not to. I Had 1 portion of homemade chilli leftover from previous night, didn't want to waste it, so got creative...

I added some tomatoe puree (no tinned toms in cupboard), some milk powder to thicken/make it a bit creamy, and some water & dried pasta... Ta da! Chilli Pasta Bake! I was very pleased with myself if I'm honest! :D
Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!
