Great news! Thank you for the update. Fingers crossed the resident cats take to their new friend, ie. 'our kitty'.Just one thing that crossed my mind, given that she is so underweight, whether the amount of food given to her should be mesured in anyway? I have got that impression from programmes that whenever they have underweight dogs/cats, they are quite careful not to let them eat loads to start with.

Awww. so pleased she has settled
Looks like her companions weigh just a little more than kitty does :rotfl:
Thankyou to you for giving this kitty a home .. temporary or otherwise xx
Yes! And they look so relaxed!! I wonder if it is easier to introduce a new cat to 2 or more cats? When I had concerns, I was introducing two cats that had obviously been singles. The first came with the house we moved to (out in the sticks) and the second was dumped a few years later.
In the picture they look like cats that will make a lovely trio - room for one more! No worries about food shortages. emo3.gif

Any cats I ever dragged home, never "intruduced", just chocked them together with the rest and let them get on with it - never had any problems :)

We have 5 cats and like you GR we just opened the door and let them get on with it. A few hisses here and there for a couple of days and now they pretty much ignore each other, unless one wants something one of the others has .. ie a mouse lol

My lot will play fight but they ok with one another and nothing ever happened. Had my daughter's 2 girls over for few months (after over a year break), brought them in, let them out, fed together in line with my boys, no probs.

The girls even got used to Zara within a day or two, I know my dog is ok with HER cats (and any cat inside is her cat, outside are strange cats hahahah her logic) and all was/is fine.

I am sure kitty's new mum will do the best for her and considering where she come from :)

We should have a name after a day or two... watching the character firts to make sure it fits :)

All my cats just "mucked in" but usually additions were strays (checked for owners) that came in gradually because they were nervous.
There was a very definite pecking order.
I was delighted the day the most timid sat on my lap - he'd been with us several years. He was the only cat in the room but then one of the females entered - she was shocked! I was shocked!! A look of pure hatred and then she flew at him and chased him through the house. After the wicked lady (my sweet darling) was pts he was never off my lap.
He stopped being the timid cat. He was instant friends with any new cat that joined us - whether they liked it or not!

Also the resident cats look like they are very nice - so there will be 3 lovely lady cats - I am jealous!
