CompBunny would it be possible for you to see a different GP at the practise? It occurs to me that the stress of seeing a GP who is known to be unsympathetic to your situation is causing you undue stress, and this in turn may exacerbate your symptoms. Just a thought.:o Wishing you a headache-free weekend.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Thankyou LameWolf (I always read it as LoneWolf!) - its very kind of you to think of me to post that
unfortunately I live in a rural area and the surgery is really old fashioned - believe it or not this GP is the best of a bad bunch there! I can tell that he means well, as he says these things kindly but its not so helpful when someone tells you that you need "less carrot and more stick" when you go to them with a physical problem! Hopefully the government will push through the reforms where you can register at any surgery

Well I have done some major faffing about today and not actually completed anything.
I put new foam tape round my bedroom windows. Then had to take it off, as I couldn't shut said windowsnow the sticky stuff is all over the frames
I put some expanding foam on the inside of the cracked bath panel. But haven't done the filler and enamel layers
I took the cushion covers off to wash and flung them in but never switched it on
I forgot about the sausages in the oven <oops>
On the plus side, I did feed the childrenand they are all pj'd and asleep. And I did clean up after dinner and set the DW going.
I am even sat here with my brothers festive offerings that I need to wrap on his behalf. Plus paper, tape, tags and a pen.
Off I go...Bossymoo

DD has taken herself off to bed an hour early complaining of feeling really tired. I'm just going to put cushion & quilts back in the livingroom, finish the wiping over in the kitchen and then chill for a bit.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I think the kids are all seeming a bit better Oh has borrowed my mams vax hopefully we can get rid of that smell, she has even given us the cleaning solution for it as we are very poor at the moment lol.
OH is doing the living room/ dinning room now, We are all still awake bedtimes are not my strong point but with them being ill they are full of beans I think I will change the film am getting a bit too emotional at Bambi.
I have done the dishes.0 -

I have had a very succesful xmas fair - decorate a bauble was hugely popular and made about £50. Visitors to my classroom were mightily impressed with how it looks bigger (because I am a VERY experienced flylady and I know all the tricks) and brighter, too (ditto). They were warned to take great care when opening cupboards, though:rotfl:
Didn't get home until 7 though and am knackered. I am hoping to start some serious flying in and amongst the many jobs I have to do, over the weekend and into next week; especially as DS will need his room so xmas storage and ebay stuff will have to move. I am keeping the wardrobe I have requisitioned though.
The DVD of the nativity is astounding - we have had a professional film crew in. Apparently the outtakes may make it to yoo toob. Director is from the US of A;)
Very few people worked out which baby picture was mine. I managed to find one where I wasn't smiling! I think that's what did it!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
:T:T:T:T the wrapping has commenced!:T:T:T:T
Wrapped my brothers (4) plus pound shop Santa (7), and stashed away. Then went up in loft to grab stockings & fillers for kids, and different paper. I'll do those tomorrow night.
DS looks to have a lot, although his birthday is next month so I can easily keep a few bits back. On top of their stockings and the big present, there's really only a couple of toys each, the rest being books, craft stuff and a board game. So definitely not OTT here. Hopefully they can just enjoy fewer rather than being overwhelmed with too much stuff...Bossymoo

Evening everyone
Thank you everyone for your get well vibes for my Olliecat, but unfortunately I have some very sad news. My big boy is a very sick kittycat and we aren't sure whether the steroids will actually work on him. His red cells have dropped really really low, he has also dropped .04kg since last Friday, he is having trouble breathing after moving around on his bed and he has severe anaemia. And sadly he is having really bad trouble walking, when he trys to get to his bed under the table he has really wobbly back legs and looks rather sorry for himself. I am praying that it is just a throwback from the anaesethic and he will pick up tomorrow, and it isn't cancer of the marrowbone as the vet suggested it could be as nothing is working to fight it. Although I hate to say it but it may be we are looking at just making him as comfortable as we can till he is ready to go. I really don't want to think about this and am trying so hard not to let my thoughts stray to this. Not sure what else to do now, he has had all the normal tests for FIV etc and he is negative, it just feels like a waiting game now. I keep telling myself that after a really good sleep at home he will be back to moving around and eating again..well he should be seeing as he has had three teeth removed. We will seeSorry to be the bearer of bad news
