:A He had no idea what he'd signed up for!
He's met Generali, you, GBD and Lemonjelly so far, in that order, I think.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I am solely on 3G after ditching BT. The speed issue is fine tethering to my phone (upgraded contract to unlimited internet which I'm sure lir or fir could do for £3 or something temporarily). I can stream standard definition movies and tv programs. HD movies take a while, but that was an accident when I did that!lostinrates wrote: »Oh, don't be silly. You guys continued with out me when I moved house and had no access..
The nice people people are FAR far more than the gobbiest member. :rotfl:
It might be easier for peeps like myself & Gen to keep up...:rotfl:chewmylegoff wrote: »Solicitor instructed on reputation. Yay! When do we all get to come and help move all your boxes as an excuse for a meet-up?
I'm assuming that this is going to be relatively hassle free. I'm moving from folks. Sellers have their home elsewhere & I think were renting it out. The house is empty so can foresee a bit of pressure to exchange early.
I've written to the solicitor to ask for after 1 May, as an ISA matures on the 1st, & I want to use those funds. My ideal time would probably be 6 May (after than bank holiday).I didn't feel like it was the greatest of value in terms of money spent for how many hours I expect were spent on it. But if/ when I buy again I expect I'll still get a full survey done.
I got to the point where it felt like I was sending rather large amounts of money to lots of people so what difference would another cheque make? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I can foresee getting in touch with him again tbh already! On a professional level though (in time).
I was wondering about the practicalities of the kitchen extension, & he must've read my mind, as he quickly & simply explained how straightforward it would be, with 1 massive improvement I hadn't considered!
He did mention 1 minor issue in the loft with roof beams not being rested on slate, which when he explained the potential consequences of, made me hugely appreciative of the importance of fixing it asap. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I got 40 on that list, although 1 of those was a bit of a cheat as the full Narnia chronicles was one tick, and the Lion Witch & Wardrobe was another
Lots of Austen / Bronte, and some O Level texts too.
I don't think it's cheating to count Narnia as two - it's one for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and the other for all six of the rest of the series.lemonjelly wrote: »I'm assuming that this is going to be relatively hassle free. You don't have to wait for your money to be available before exchanging. You can exchange as soon as you're sure you're ready, setting a completion date of 6 May or whatever.
I think you will find that moving the boxes takes longer than you think it will, in just the same way that you are currently finding that packing them does.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Unpacking boxes is infinitely more fun than the packing :-)Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I would leave a good 10 working days from the funds supposedly becoming available to completion to give the banks time to muck-up on transferrring your money to your solicitors...
Why does it always happen to me?
I want to buy a miracast dongle to plug into my tv so I can show what the tablet is showing without plugging in a lead so I search on ebay and this is what I find:
