I remember a better story about a man trapped in his garage by an angry badger.

At one house we lived in, as in my parents and I, not DH, we had a green house over an earth floor with a paving slab centre path. I stepped of the centre path on to the earth bit and it collapsed into a rat run and HUGE rates came out. Most went through the open for , but one was hurtling round me in circles in the most ridiculously terrifying manner (I tend to think I am sort of ok with rodents, but the fast movements are some what disconcerting , and this was a real monster., I couldn't get to the door very easily because it kept running between me and it. There is a sort of family story about how rats attacked the face of some great uncle or something in a grain store and I kept wondering if this thing was going to go for my face:o.

Eventually it just broke through a glass pane and went out that way.

    Shudder.

I needed to read about it.

Mental note not to approach badgers in these parts!

Doozer is in the process of receiving a phone call from someone who speaks more than he does. Today is an extraordinary day!

    I especially
Y like my mistype of 'rates' for 'rats'. The rates are a very small people and not at all rodent like. DH is a veritable giant among them at five seven or eight. My fil is shorter than my mother who is very short. He was taller than his wife.

    Well it's biopsy #2 tomorrow.

We had a dinner with SiL to celebrate one of her kids' birthdays. I was quite late as I had to work then wanted to pick up a present for her son on the way and the traffic was horrendous. They had the hump with me pretty clearly but TBH I have bigger fish to fry right now.

I'm not worried about the test but it is pretty unpleasant so I'm not looking forward to it. It's horrible enough for them to give me a local anesthetic before sticking the needle in. At least I get a day off work for it so it could be worse.

I'm hoping to meet FiL afterwards for lunch as it's near his place. Then I can feel an afternoon of indolence coming on.
  • Very best of luck Gen <hugs>
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Things behind you like that are horrid because you cannot have a good look. I like watching and asking questions and seeing what's happening. You'll be alright dear one. I know it sounds corny but if you relax as much as you can the jabs hurt less.

I like the one with Sartre. I've been to Les Deux Magots which is where he used to drink. It's ok although TBH there are better places in St Germain des Pres.

I saw the Frenchest scene ever in St Germain.

There was an old man crossing the road very slowly at a zebra crossing. In the end the driver waiting got impatient and honked his horn. The old man turned and walked back 2 paces and stood in the middle of the road with his arms folded.

Satisfied that he'd made his point he continued crossing. The car driver beeped again. For a second time the old man returned to the centre of the road, folded his arms and stared at the driver.

He continued crossing and when he was on the pavement the car revved and beeped his horn as he drove off. The old man whacked the car with his stick.
