I like the one with Sartre. I've been to Les Deux Magots which is where he used to drink. It's ok although TBH there are better places in St Germain des Pres.
That's a good story, but that's the place where we had to pay 20 euros for two pints of Coke! We were hungover and led there. Our friend paid less for a great big fresh orange juice and an omlette.
I still feel  when I think of that.
Good luck for tomorrow. Enjoy your day offEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Its very unlikely IMO fwiw horses or cows would have been domesticated in an animal lead way. I think I stick with the 'we got wise to farming over chasing eventually' stuff for that.. Its hard to see animals would choose to stay with us when we ate them and couldn't give them more than they could accrue themselves.
Oh my days! 3 big archive boxes covered about 30% of my cd's. No real dent made. (I haven't really started contemplating books. & what does one pack vinyl away in?)
I have started sorting a few things to throw away however. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Our vinyl is not in the proper boxes DH had for vinyl because he gave them away. Ours is in plastic boxes with lids. Until it goes on shelves.0 -

Is it wrong I laughed out loud at that?:o
In his defence, he says relevant things which were so helpful to me.Well it's biopsy #2 tomorrow.
We had a dinner with SiL to celebrate one of her kids' birthdays. I was quite late as I had to work then wanted to pick up a present for her son on the way and the traffic was horrendous. They had the hump with me pretty clearly but TBH I have bigger fish to fry right now.
I'm not worried about the test but it is pretty unpleasant so I'm not looking forward to it. It's horrible enough for them to give me a local anesthetic before sticking the needle in. At least I get a day off work for it so it could be worse.
I'm hoping to meet FiL afterwards for lunch as it's near his place. Then I can feel an afternoon of indolence coming on.neverdespairgirl wrote: »I think the Wise Woman wouldn't start cutting and trying.
Orf to my blood chemistry review, later NPs!
Good luck to you too NDG! Hope all goes well. A prescription of feet up, breakfast in bed & being waited on hand & foot seems required! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Archive boxes were too small. Plastic boxes it may need to be.
Vinyl, after all, is precious...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Not many plastic boxes are deep enough either tbh.0 -

It's so long since I bought vinyl. All my music and equipment's up in the loft now. They mentioned on the radio the other day that when you buy vinyl you're given a code so you can download the music, and some people hang the albums on the wall as decorations and never unwrap them. When did that all start?
My fave second-hand record store has a good list of weird customer conversations which are a lot funnier than the geeky jokes I posted yesterday. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

DH had a part time job in Denmark st. He used to have people come in and hum something tune less at him and ask if they has the music for it......every single hour. They wouldn't know the name, the band, a line of lyrics.....or seemingly a hares of the music.....just 'dad a da dum dee dee dad da ' and the staff had to guess..
