I wonder what the name for a collective of Nice People is, as say when a meetup happens.

That's not a hint by the way. I'm not organising one any time soon!

    A grin of nice people?

A question for the NP Courserans...

Sponge or Roomba? I have grand Roomba aspirations atm, but know that I could well end up being a sponge.

I think that's a way of seeing how you progress vs your aspirations. I've set low aspirations but we'll see what happens. I'm doing well so far in terms of eating up the reading matter.

I've put myself down as a sponge.
Oh lord, I must start this course stuff tonight!:o
Sorry, bt last night I was listening to us hammering swindon 4-1.
Promise to try to start tonight.

I spent all day at work with a small brown splodge on my shirt which loads of people picked up on. The reason? It wasn't a coffee spill or a shaving cut. My daughter decided that she wanted an extra cuddle before I went to work. She was in the middle of making her specialty dish: Nutella on toast.

    That is a lovely story.

I was about to endorse the cuddle generated stain and then thought not.

My DKs are exactly like that, they can't understand that whilst normally their hugs are welcomed with open arms, when daddy is in his suit and their fingers and faces are covered in food they get warded off.

    :

Go for it. Think how happy it would make you when you looked down and were reminded how you got the grubby mark

Failing that, a quick wipe of the DK with kitchen towel or dishcloth and they would be fine.

I think they grow up too quickly to be turning cuddles down.

Being self-employed is really rubbish when you lose your mojo.

I've half tidied the office, briefly found a moment of mojo and then lost it again. I'm so behind after being poorly and although I'm quite keen to pay the bills, have absolutely zero passion for what we're doing right now. Nada. It's not a great recipe.

I'm a creative. My job now is that of a glorified admin assistant. I have no idea what to do.

Don't worry about the pre-read... bear in mind you've already read his books so you have a head start. If you download them you can always read them later at your own pace.

In terms of the start up, there's a video where Dan Ariely explains what is expected. If you watch that, you may find things a bit better. I know you want to read/do everything, but it is possible with the course to do enough to get by. There are also people taking this course at the moment who are doing so for a second time, so if it doesn't work out for any reason (and you do have a lot on your plate) there's always later in the year.

Being employed is the same in many ways doozer. I've found the lack of development/learning/progression at my place to have a distinct impact on my mojo. Very much a case of going through the motions.
I find redesigning my job (taking the focus away from my employer, to focussing on how it benefits students - helping them achieve their dreams, such as go to university) will help a little.

I also generally tend to find admin peeps are very creative. Can you weave any creativity into this?

Thanks for the encouragement Viva. I should crack on with this. I hope that starting it will help me get a bit of mojo.
