I hope it works out. These are lousy decisions to have to make, and I am sorry for you.
Part of the responsibility of owning them, you have to take the bad bits too sadly.
Fwiw, its why I don't want big dogs even though they are what I was brought up with. They die too young. You are always making this decision if you have a house ful of them, because the lifespan is too short..

The star needs some batteries, I think I have some, but don't want to go looking in the boxes in the gloom of the low energy lightbulb, so I'll look tomorrow. The balls need some method of hanging, I might stumble across my plastic hooks while looking for batteries, or some thread which is somewhere in some box or other as I remember buying some last year for some reason I can't remember. And the actual lights are overwhelmingly large in volume, so I'd rather tackle those in daylight too as it involves unravelling the lot and sorting out what's best to do with them before I start draping.
So ... sort of
It'll all be done by tomorrow.0 -
Oh, aren't there threads in the bauble box?
I find the best way to put lights on a tree is in dim light with the lights turned on then you can see how well distributed they are.
Our lights aren't long enough for our tree. It looks really stingy.0 -
Sorry to hear about your dog. Never an easy decision, as they are a part of the family.
Best wishes.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

I need to upload my dinner photos..... then pop one onto the dinner thread
shock them as it's not the usual toast/cheese
I've got 35 photos in total ... random bits/bobs including misc snaps when I was waiting in that arcade. Battery used 20%. It's stuff like that I am testing when I take photos, as much as anything else. The question of "so how long does it last/how many photos can one take?"0 -

It's more about how the leads and bulbs are connected, working out how to put it on so I don't [a] run out have some left over. With my last lights there were two ways .... open the lead out in a big circle, then try to get it round by twisting it in a vertical figure of 8 a few times ... as the lights were too stingy. I think these will be fine just going round and round .... but I need to check it all before I start so I don't have to unravel it and start again.
I put baubles on after lights.
Oh yes, always lights first!!0 -
