I suspect that the next biopsy is more for his comfort than mine. I also suspect that he is doing it because he thinks he can get a better outcome for me.
I guess that another couple of weeks, however frustrating, will be worth it if you feel that the doc is on your side and has your best interests at heart.lostinrates wrote: »If I hadn't mentioned it it would never be noticed whether it had been done or not I think. I hoovered at the weekend. Meant to do so before the parents arrived at Christmas (2013) but never quite got round to it ... not quite sure when it was done before then ...0 -
I will pm you my post code. I was admiring a cobweb between a picture and the ceiling on the landing, only about an hour ago.
There are some (thankfully small) cobwebs at the highest point of ceiling above the stairs. Even with my extending duster, I can't reach them. They will therefore be staying there a) the hallway gets decorated or b) the BFG visits.
b) is more likely to occur first.0 -

I am guessing you don't have three dogs, a woodburner and people who tramp through the house in boots? :rotfl:0 -
I have had a few cooking c*ck ups over the last few days.:(
Yesterday I offered a pudding, apple crumble from the freezer. OH was making HM pizza for dinner.
Took the foil off the crumble...cottage pie base. So we had cottage pie for dinner last night and DD had the pizza.
I did take a pie out of the freezer and promise pudding for tonight. It was apple and blackberry. we had a muddled sort of dinner this evening - OH just had time for beans on toast after burying the bunny rabbit and before going to tennis, I had smoked haddock and DD had Gammon. We agreed I would cook the pie for us to have 'later'.
Well it is later now and I have cooked it, only I didn't hear the timer go off. So it is a bit crispy, the blackberry juice has all bubbled out of it and is on the oven floor, when I opened the door it ran down the door below like hot jam.
It is an aga type. It will have to burn off:(
I am going to try to convince OH that the pie will be fine with cream. He has had a game of tennis with his chums and a pint afterwards, all will be happy in his little world I hope.0 -
In other news, my impulse buy table has (finally, van issues) been delivered to its storage location
Just need to co-ordinate the final leg of it's journey over here so I can work out how long I've got to clear the [STRIKE]jumble sale[/STRIKE] dining room...
I read that slightly faster than I should have done.
I wondered for a moment why you were co-ordinating the arrival of the final table leg, and why you'd bought the table with one leg missing ...lostinrates wrote: »Just as well, I'm exhausted. ( I tried to write the tired word beginning with n but it looked liked I'd skipped to the just going through the motions bit). Edit. This would be of course because it begins with k. So tired. So impossibly tired.but cannot sleep yet or I'll not wake up for days.
Hope you do get to sleep properly soon xI seem to be doing the opposite of RP-style cleaning. I should have managed to properly clean every room at least once by now. Instead there are some rooms which have just had a quick going over with the vacuum cleaner. Oops.
I have a technique which works for me. If you don't move the items on the shelves / mantlepieces / top of the TV, then you never see the dust marks and therefore never need to disturb the dust.
Likewise, if you don't move the furniture then you don't need to vacuum underneath as nobody sees there ...0 -

Twixes has about a centimetre lopped off last year and I am convinced that Yorkies have been shortened by a block. I assume it's to increase the profit without increasing the price rather than out of concern for our health.
I just buy two...
Oi!
I am only 5' 1" and don't expect to shrink to the height of my mother (and her mother / aunt in the previous generation) for at least another two decades:rotfl:

Surely a happy sign, a pudding that oozes? Its the way I think they look best. A neat pudding is a pudding that knows its boundaries and minds its ps and q's, a pudding of insufferable smug self satisfaction.
Give me an oozing pudding of abandonment anyday. One that knows its cup (or Pyrex dish) overfloweth with berry goodness, and the rish joy of last summer leaps into life before its even on your tongue. No neat I stained tops for me, dry in their unimaginative 'surprise' underneath, no, I want a berry with the gumption to get up and jam itself for my delectation,a pudding wants to roll its being in cream sensually and delight in the warm Coool, tart rich juncture and tease me with the promise of what's waiting in a few months.
Sounds like you've done rather well.0 -
Grrr!
The most simplest job in the world. I want a phone plug (RJ45) bunged on the end of a phone cable. If I had the tool that does it and a spare plug I could do it myself.
Write something on facebook and some guy talks him self round. Agrees it is possible and says he would do it for just his call out charge...£70!!!
Sent him on his way.
