I missed the disruption this morning by catching the 5:55am train. I can't decide if that is good or bad

If you haven't caught a train in the opposite direction yet, it's bad !!

Reminds me of that episode of Coupling where it turns out Steve and Geoff are '!!!!!! buddies'. In the even that one of them dies, the other will go round to their house and remove all the pornography before their mother has chance to find it :D

Assessment centre went ok. Not sure I really shone, but I think I came across alright. Bit of a grilling towards the end, but when they made it clear what they were looking for, I emphasized how I met that! It was a good group of people I was with, and we all got on really well, so I had a good day.

Just have to see. You don't know what they're looking for etc.

    Flying visit.
Why did I even consider thinking about buying a house during my busiest period at work?
Had a mad day, not stopped. Last group was a nightmare (not due to them, due to their teacher!)
Off to speak with the broker. Will keep you all advised. I'm assuming t'other place will re-open at the weekend? :)

Could be worse - at least you're not trying to finally write a thesis that is thoroughly overdue!!
I found the distraction strangely useful - apart from at the beginning when you're trying to get stuff up and running - there is a lot of waiting for everything to happen.
Good luck with the broker :)

Sounds like it went as well as could be hoped for. I'm so glad I've never had to go to an assessment centre (I've only ever had interviews, though the last one was 3 hours long ).

In other news, my impulse buy table has (finally, van issues) been delivered to its storage location :)
Just need to co-ordinate the final leg of it's journey over here so I can work out how long I've got to clear the [STRIKE]jumble sale[/STRIKE] dining room...

Grilling is probably a good sign as it means they thought you were a definite possible, if someone is clearly a no we go through the motions but don't really try that hard.
    I think....

Just as well, I'm exhausted. ( I tried to write the tired word beginning with n but it looked liked I'd skipped to the just going through the motions bit). Edit. This would be of course because it begins with k. So tired. So impossibly tired. :( but cannot sleep yet or I'll not wake up for days. :)

Doggles and I have settled in for a night by the woodburner together and it appears there is nothing good on tv tonight, which is disappointing.
