Overheard by DH at the gym yesterday early evening.....

Gym instructor on clearing away a news paper reads our ' pets at home to float' other gym instructor says ' these flood/ are !!!! , man, when are the government gonna stop it?'

DH says maybe there is something in road running.
    LOL

Yesterday, on one of the news programmes where journalists are pushing their way into people's flooded homes to interview them (lame sticky beaking) .... one had a cat on the outside of the narrow windowsill, the cat was looking down at the 2' of flood water surrounding/filing and engulfing the house.... she said "I wish I knew what to do with him ...... he's not mine!"

It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

You can get 32GB USB sticks for about £15 now. Could you free up some of the 40GBs you do have by using one of those to store things you don't need all the time?

    8GBs for £2.99! http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/8gb-lexar-s70-usb-flashdrive-2-99-delivered-ebuyer-back-stock-1828908

Honestly, I think I wouldn't bother to upgrade it. If you just want a desktop there are plenty of younger ones than that going for free on freecycle.

Or just get a chromebook and be done with it.

Edit: And yeah, I know it's money. But if your computer is your main source of income, then having something that doesn't divert yourself away from making money is a wise investment. IMHO.

Offer accepted at 99.2% of asking price. Even Kirsty Allsop could have done better than that.... All we have to do now is wait 3 months for the seller to find somewhere and then get gazumped.
Plenty of time for you to work out train routes/times and directions ... to send out with the NP invites... and work out the seating arrangements
    :)

NDG has been saving 12 bottles of something for a special occassion. You will just need to pop round to her workplace and pick them up.

I am pretty sure I have a spare lurid duffle back or rucksack you could take it home in.
