I like that.
It reminds me of a colleague who when I reported that Management Consultants had advised that a project would take 26 weeks, responded by exclaiming "No. It will be 6 months".
Another colleague had gone out at new year dressed in her "refinery".0 -

Last night, I was enjoying the exuberance that is Penguin Cafe (another Warwick Arts Centre classic!)
I'm also really intrigued by Camp Bestival:

Obv James being headliners helps, but also Public Service Broadcasting, Laura Mvula, Mr Tumble, what's not to like?
Plus the circus theme & a celebration of 50 years of charlie & the chocolate factory.
It appears quite likely there will be a new James album tour this year, so that is excellent.
I went to actual Bestival last year and it was great - generally a really nice atmosphere (though got a bit lairy in the field I was stewarding in on the Sat night...). I'd guess that Camp Bestival would be at least as nice as I think it is supposed to be even more family friendly.0 -

Bored housewife seeks cleaner. ATM I am doing dusting sprints. A side of a room ina. Burst, I have done dining room, study and only one side of sitting room left..
I really should have done that hoovering the other day though.0 -

Ah well, get the survey done and see if there's more to be had from them.
But congratulations! That's more good news than bad, I'm sure, you've been looking long enough to know if the price is sensibleEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I am beta testing the new forum. Don't know why I was picked.
Not sure if I don't like it because it is new and strange or if i just don't like it.
For starters, the first post remains on each page.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I wonder what will happen silver, on those threads where the OP goes off in a huff and then deletes the first post. I didn't like this layout initially, preferred the old one, but you get used to it I suppose. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? It makes sense for something like hotukdeals but I think most of MSE forums is more of a community where discussions evolve than simple linear threads all relating only to the first post?I think....0 -

There you go Lover, just ask and I make things possible .
For you LIR anything is possible, and of course I will be fascinated to see which of your 'lovers' now fills it up againI think....0 -
Loved those NDG. We have orange (ADR) books which are exactly like white books.
Corporate gifts rarely appear, occasionally we get a bottle of wine at Christmas. Having said that in the last two years I have been truck racing and to Lyons ( which was more of an endurance test given the schedule, than a jolly).
I don't buy the White Book (which is a long, detailed, intensely dull step-by-step guide to the Civil Procedure Rules, associated Practice Directions, and relevant case law. I don't do enough CPR-governed work to make it necessary. OH shares one with someone else in his Chambers, and looks things up for me when I do need something checked.
Chambers only do corporate files and pens, really, and they are actually useful, for keeping papers in and writing things. No T-shirts, fridge magnets, or similar.
Sister #1, the journalist, gets given lots of random free stuff, but the 48-bottle crate of various beers just before Christmas annoyed her a bit, because of course, coeliacs can't touch the stuff!Brits = middle-aged white people music
Pharrell = always makes me jealous that Kelis picked him rather than me back in the day (I have never met Kelis and only really liked her first album but even still...)
Michael, I hate to break this news, but you are white, and in the fullness of time (quite a lot of time, mind you) you will also be middle aged.Is NDB in the same chambers? If not, can he make a detour on the way home?
No - and good thing too, I think that would be a bit too claustrophobic. He does employment law, which no-one does at my set.
But he cycles, so crates of booze and coffee machines would be a touch tricky for him, too. I think there is a stash of bottles loitering next to his desk, too. Perhaps I should order him to ship everything home, from both Chambers, in one swell foop?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
