It has 2 toilets, 1 upstairs & 1 down.
I could happily manage with a shower (money/water saving)
A bath could follow at a later date.
Obviously I've never bought before.
TBH some of this conversation might need to move to t'other place... I have some savings etc, but not sure I'd be posting that here...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I also think the thing at the bottom of the garden is a summer house (or more realistically, a glorified/posh shed). It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Growing up there were 4 of us in a house with 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom (shower over bath) and 1 downstairs loo.
We now have 5 bedrooms, 2 with ensuite + 1 family bathroom and a downstairs loo. Our en-suite has bath, separate shower and loo, the other en-suite has a shower and loo. Possibly too many for our needs. In fact both boys have commented that one of the things going to uni taught them was how to share bathrooms with others.
How life has changed over the past 60-70 or so years. Around WW2, they may not just have had to share a bathroom, but a bath - or at the very least bathwater - too:eek:.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Our DKs still share the bathwater sometimes.I think....0 -
Wen I was little as well as sharing baths with friends sometimes used to shower with friends parents (after swimming or beach or on holidays) . I'm guessing that's a strict no no now! (Edit, fwiw I have only ever bathed with nieces as tiny tots and no one else's baby and frankly, nor would I want to!)0

I did it for my parents, too, and they got 83% - that's, I think, the house-having-a-name and more-than-one-car (which seems to me something much more easily explained by where you live than how you live).
About the same as you (thank goodness my daughter got herself a car!), but I strongly suspect that you are actually much posher. I was at uni with someone called Rupert, and I've just emailed a Philippa for work, so that's one box ticked.
One of our long-standing friends unexpectedly became a Lib-Dem Lord, but he's most definitely not posh, although awfully nice, unpretentious and very hard-working. He's called Monroe (that's his first name). How unposh is that?
It definitely helps that we keep carrier bags.
I disagree with some of the judgement calls they have made. If you have had a ski lesson, that's supposedly posh. No! You learned to ski without lessons. Now, that's posh.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I miss bugslet. I wanted her to see the cat in a hat picture. I hoped she'd forgive it being a not a dog but a cat that it had a hat.0
