Don't quote, will delete links soon:

In your price range, there are three here. One flat and two houses.

But if I had that much money I'd be looking somewhere else :)

If I was to buy round your way my budget wouldn't be very high as the only way I could get to work would be to commute by helicopter, so I could probably only afford to rent somewhere for about 3 months before the money ran out!

We don't do too badly on the cupboards, garage, loft and outbuildings front. Where we fall down though is on the ability not to buy carp in the first place or to sell / give / throw it away when no longer needed.

I think our house would tick most of PN's boxes but it is too far from the sea. I think our town would suit Chewie.
    I think....

I have now drawn up the useful cupboard deficiency index. It goes:

    HIGH:

    me: no useful cupboards

siver: slightly more useful cupboards, but still yearning for more

michaels: at least he's got posh cupboards

nikks: all the indoor cupboard niceties a heart could desire.

lir: not only cupboards but outbuildings - posh alert!

    LOW

Can you tell I'm taking my mind off things? Oh well, time to go food shopping.

PS: I would do you a chart, but I can't because I'm not cleaver.

If I didn't have a shed I'd be near the top of that list too!

My kitchen is about 5' x 9', with an archway into it along one of the long sides. It has only 1 drawer, plus a few cupboards. First thing I did when unpacking my kitchen stuff (I have a lot as I had a really long galley kitchen in my previous small rented terrace) was to put together a cheapo argos pine set of shelves.

I've never had an airing cupboard since leaving uni. Ironing board goes in one of the bedrooms next to the wardrobe as the understair cupboard isn't big enough.

Nikkster I am blaming you.......the contents of my understairs cupboard are now in my pokey hallway.

I have to do a tip run today now too........I won!t have time today to scrub it out, but should make it easier for spring cleaning.

I can't take all the blame... I wasn't clearing my stuff out, I was just finally dealing with the stuff that had been left in there!
Hmm, probably got a couple of skips worth plus a few tip runs gathered out there. :o:o. Just trying to get it straight out.

That isn't an understairs cupboard, its Narnia! :)

Oh, the skips worth are in the outbuildings, Rofl.

    :rotfl:

Its done, and I have done my under sink cupboard too. That's a ruddy miracle. I have got rid of loads of cleaning stuff that resident parent buys (doesn't use) and I don't like using. Bang and the grease is gone? Yeah, well, so have eight bottles of that stuff now too......

Only minor problem is, I think their might be a tiny, tiny leak under my utility sink. :(. Everything felt wet.

Ok, tip run tomorrow morning, thena swing by Aldi to check out viva's link for a bed for the base of the crate for the kiwi under his donut bed.

Quite pleased with a two cupboard sort out day when neither were on my list.

Otoh, cleaning my car a bit. so Lydia could sit in it soon without getting out and looking like a dog was on my list and hasn't been done........

Edit...my nails look like the kiwi chewed them. I don't see me getting time to sort them out this weekend, not least as I stepped on my silly glass nail file. I always drop them then step on them, Such a twit.

This is so like us. Chock full of carp. I am thinking of hiring a skip, throwing all the rubbish in, then having it taken away again - all before the children wake up and can start taking stuff out of the skip again.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

It feels amazing clearing the decks. I only wish we could be as driven more often.

The thing we are undecided on today is a cat drinking fountain, The upshot is DH is going to set it up and if its complete it can stay, if not it must go. It seems the only fair compromise. They did used t love the drinking fountain.

I'm not sure if that is a really, really posh alert or a really really whimsical alert. I've never heard of a cat fountain before.
