Funny little quiz. I got 70%
I know a Rupert and a Philippa. That one made me laugh.
I was nearly a Philippa.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I'm afraid I am now at the limits of my technical knowledge.
I thought the ballcock stopped the toilet filling up?
I think I do have 2 stopcocks - one just past the driveway (where the meter was installed) and one under the sink behind a stupid stuck cupboard back. And a decoy which is to do with the boiler.
Too many cocks! Though I think I might need another one to fix the problems0 -

I got 33%.
Think I only got that because it's strictly shoes off inside the house.0 -

Stopcock, ballcock pffft same thing as far as I'm concerned. Perhaps I should stick to adding up columns of numbers.0 -

You can have a stopcock to the toilet (though they are probably called cut off valve or something). I have a fairly new house and they are fitted to everything - the basins, toilets, kitchen sink... I don't remember having these in older houses though. It is a good idea to fit them if you install new toilets though. I would imagine if your house is older and the bathrooms are original you won't have these. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Curiousity is getting the better of me. I wonder, if it is a Jack Russell or something, whether it was thinking "woohoo, adventure", or whether animals are far more sensible than that. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Good luck
Yeah, I have come to the realisation that if you buy an older house there are always going to be some issues. However, you need the other people to actually see the problems before it puts them off and I reckon most people don't go in the loft and quite a lot pick the cheapest possible survey going.
I know the surveyor who came round to look at the (1930s - with known subsidence issues) house I sold a while back didn't go in the loft cos my mum was there when the surveyor came round.0 -
