No, it's really not!
One of my best friends is a Utility Warehouse distributor and is evangelical about the amount you can, apparently, save with them.
I posted on FB to say I'd got a smartphone and said that next step was to look at tariffs. I've already done my research and know what ballpark figure I'm looking to pay (probably about £7 p/m for 500MB of data and sufficient phone / txts).
She was straight in there, saying I could get it for free. But that means changing my energy bills and probably my phone/BB. She would get £50 if I switched, and a % of my ongoing bills for as long as I remain a customer. I am not entirely comfortable with her making money out of me, but on the other hand I suppose I should think that if it a) saves me money, and b) makes her money, what's so wrong about it?
She doesn't always push her UW thing, but has done it several times now and I don't like feeling like a money-making machine. I doubt she thinks of me that way, though, so this is probably all in my head.

I think they are in the walled garden...yesterday they just looked like sticks, or sticks with rosehips. There was a signup saying they were sorting out the companion planting.
I was admiring the raised beds and unfavourably comparing the poor raised bed that Mr Spirit made in my veg patch. Do not think it will have motivated him to greater things.
Isaac has me beaten on dinosaurs. Being a woman, and mother of a daughter dinosaurs have not featured much in my life.
I did however once share a house with an Iraqi and and Iranian. We were all great friends however they went home and we lost touch. I hoped Ahmad and Ahmed never found themselves face to face in conflict. They would have been of combatant age, and both in their respective elites.0 -
Having it back has made a huge difference already, as I said, we did the whole town centre on Saturday, something we haven't done for nearly 8 weeks and tomorrow, we are off out to Norwich for the day, something that would have been impossible without the wheelchair.
The 'man who could' saw it as a challenge, he was absolutely determined he was going to get it done, no matter how long it took or what he had to do...his name is quite famous on our little selling group on Facebook as he does all manner of things and to a high standard too and never charges huge amounts. He promised me that if he could do it, then he would have it back to me for half term and by god did he deliver.
Talking about delivering, he even did that...he collected and then returned the chair to me, so no messing about trying to get to his to drop it off and pick it up either.
Great for you..and a real role model citizen.0 -
Yep, there are names for those days, 'Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Triceratops was big and ponderous looking so not really the type to be chasing after and catching animal protein (compare leopard and elephant).
I edited it for you so that Thursday and Friday now take their proper place in Spirit's weekend.
It is well known that civilisation had to get to a state of farming and trade, so that mankind could evolve into me. Otherwise I would have starved whilst pondering as chasing and catching was never going to happen, instead though, I can go shopping.0 -
OK - I've found number three of my 'bad things come in threes'
1. npower
2. damp patch on wall
3. I think I need to get a new fill valve for my toilet. Yesterday I noticed there was a damp patch, guessed it came from the toilet overflow pipe.
Indeed it does - the toilet doesn't quite shut off filling up. I think it is the fill valve. Unfortunately I've realised that at 20:03 and the local DIY stores shut at 8pm. I guess another few hours isn't going to make that much difference now.
I guess I can do some research into what the right replacement part is. I would take a picture, but the inside of the cistern is absolutely disgusting (vomit smiley). Once it is fixed, it is definitely getting cleaned!0 -

They get disgusting, That's how they are.
We replace this same mechanism quite often on water troughs. Its simple but there will be a couple options at the DIY stores, I think to do with pressure. Cannot remember,. (I'm having a serious fuzzy head day). All I wants to say is, its cheap, its not hard, and its ok its a bit gross in there, it doesn't make you particular sloppy housekeeper or anything.
. Cleaning it maywell help everything not seize though, as the calcification might be an issue. We find ours go in sub zero weather.

Just goes to show how climate differs across the UK. Being further north than most NPs, our daffs are not yet anywhere near out.
The pheasant eye daffs in the front garden are no where to be seen, the ones called "February" (or something like it) in a tub in the back garden are showing a few buds.0 -
