I had kingfish ceviche (they rather pretentiously called it carpaccio)

The funny thing is that I know what a carpaccio is, but I've never heard of a ceviche. I guess it's similar to a carpaccio, right? :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I love ceviche, usually fish or seafood cured with citrus. Gaucho do heavenly ones, but I had such a great one in a simple, ultra cheap mexican restaurant in the states. I'd happily eat ceviche every day.

    Starving now.

I was glad to be able to put her mind at rest, but also to say how lucky we are in this country that our flood water does not come, as hers did, with the added headaches of poisonous snakes or crocodiles.

Viva, can you please stop tempting fate?

In other news, London Zoo has flooded and the crocodiles have escaped...

    Nah, only joking.

We went to this http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/mottisfont/things-to-see-and-do/events/exhibitions/, this morning. the Lichfield portraits were wonderful.

Celebs of their day I know, but they all just looked so glamorous, a bit devil-may-care and as if they really knew how to live. Steve Redgrave looked so handsome, Roger Moore I expected, but Steve Redgrave.

Omg I feel like a less successful tom term. Put my boots on for the second time at about nine thirty ( I remember because they had a stone on them and I thought I just take tha out soon). I have finally taken them of and done it.

Beautiful day. We spent some time out side, but most of it in barn splitting wood.

I have been out and inspected the trampoline. All parts are around, the legs look fine but the rim is warped. I reckon one side would be a foot higher than the other if all legs were on the ground.

Enough to make it unusable I reckon.

I'm hungry too. That's quite rare for me to actually be 'hungry' but, What idiot meal planning chicken salad for a cold evening after working outside all day??? DH and I accidentally fasted today too, just didn't get round to eating. DH is making himself a sandwich now before we get clean. I was going to bake a cake for work but I don't see that happening.

Sounds like you had a good day :)

I've been writing today so no garden time for me. Pity, but it's been nice to look at the blue skies.
