It's Valentines Day and he wants to be with you. I think it is really sweet, even if it may be a bit misguided if the weather's bad out there.
From his pov, he wants to get home to the woman he loves and he's probably a bit worried about how you are coping with the barn.
I love fir even more now you've said this. He's smashing. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? He is smashing, but not sure he'll get here, so we'll still be apart and I'm be stressing about where he'll sleep. His train gets in to the place I cannot get to in about half an hour then he has to see if he can get a connection somewhere closer. Still not sure I want to drive in this tbh, its rather rough here!0 -
There was a significant period this evening when it wasn't sensible to leave our office to walk to the tube station, there was a lot of bar furniture swirling around down the street. Hope fir makes it safely.0

OH did the perfect, romantic thing for me today. I texted to say I'd just got off the bus at Moorgate (early, because some idiot was eating a burger on the bus, and it was vomit-ous) and he, realising it was wellying down, not only made a cup of tea, but put a towel on the radiator to warm up and raided the chest of drawers for clothes. Bliss is arriving home running with water, and being greeted with a warm towel, clean and dry clothes, and a cup of tea....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

so I went to liverpool on wednesday. Stood waiting in the train station from about half three waiting for the train they kept repeating was "delayed". Started getting bothered round about half six. Then the chap I was stood next too got a text off his mate working at crewe station regarding the roof/fire/cables that I'm sure you all know.
So I got stranded in liverpool. Then the police cordon off almost the ntire city centre.
Eventually found somewhere to stay. Was uber relieved I'd taken a new book to read on the train! At least I had something to occupy me.
Managed to get back next day, eventually. Train to chester first, then crewe, then finally home.
Egads.

It's a vile night too.
Hope things work out passably OK .... because, from here, it's not looking like they'll be turning out brilliant!
Storm-wise, here, it's WILD!! WILD!!!
Did I say WILD!!!0 -
Just been outside. I'm in a single storey right under2-3 HUGE trees - luckily the wind is blowing them away from me, so the worst that could happen would most likely be a branch might come down (rather than the whole tree).
But it's raging out there, like I've not heard here before. Normally I can't hear storms much, this one's relentless. Went outside for a cig, but scared next door's tiles might blow off (came home Xmas to find some smashed right where I stand) .. or a tree branch might drop.
Luckily, next door chopped a whole raft of branches off these big trees - the overhanging ones - 4 months ago.
I think next door have gone away .... so no near neighbours to speak of if I have an issue - and services are next door if anything trips. Got my wind up torch here ... in case. And phone's fully charged. Car charger's in the car .... just don't fancy trying to get things sorted out etc if all the leccy goes and/or if a tree does something daft0
