From the sound of the floods, going on the tube unless you're a strong swimmer is pretty risky.

I've got the results of the tests on Leon tomorrow at 8:30am my time, 9:30pm yours. I'm quite optimistic actually, I've talked myself into it.

Well done on the positive attitude, you are a lesson to all of us.

Re London flooding - I assume they use the Thames barrier as a sort of tidal pump, along the upstream locks, to keep the flooding in Slough and other places than it can only improve.
    I think....

Have many NPs had a bad cold for ages? I seem to have got a second one after trying to get over one last month. Don't think I even got a day off from it.

No, but quite a few had a week+ long cold over christmas.

I got away lightly, didn't get it properly.

Vile rainy weather here. Soaking wet.

All the best Gen! Stiff upper lip what?;)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I think I've just had one cold this year?

    Not sure tbh.

Kiwi is barking ferociously at dh's jacket over the back of a chair. I cannot convince him its inanimate... At least he has a big dog bark not a yappy one.

I'm just a keyboard faux stiff upper lipsman. I welled up when telling my boss about this on Monday! ***Face palm smiley***

I didn't blub but it was a close run thing.

Wheezy, are you in a safe place? Just realised you're not a million miles away from affected areas. :(

Slap bang in the middle of all that red colour on the environment agency maps. :(

A bit closer to the Thames in our village, people had the police knocking on the door to notify of eventual evacuation.

We're a bit higher up, so we should be ok.
And it's pouring down again. :(

It's felt like I've had the beginnings of a cold for a couple of months.

I now have a sore throat, which hopefully means the cold is actually going to happen and then go away.

Good luck Wheezy. Presumably you've moved the photos and other irreplaceables upstairs?

    Flooding is horrible.
