You know those foil containers that have lids that are foil on one side and paper on the other?

If you let then touch the element of a grill they catch fire! quickly!

Horses love the berries. Our hedges are a really bad state, mainly bramble. They'd have to live off them to keep in check:(. But the main areas we want to get bramble free are the banks of the Cake and the area around the barn so that we can start to use those areas. The cake we'd like to sow with wild flowers for now, the area behind the barn, fence securely and have as a secure chicken are for hunt days and plant some small trees up there.

  • I'm presuming that, if she's had time to post about it, the crisis is passed. I'm hoping so, anyway!

Can anyone remind me of who it is who posts here and has their MFW badge? We've been over paying massively since rates went down and have taken our mortgage down from 21 years outstanding 7 years ago to five outstanding now (at current rate of repayment). Wanted to know if it was worth joining the board and if so, when?

I joined the mfi3 type thread last year in a fit of misguided enthusiasm...then never did anything as our mortgage is paid off next year any way and I planned to reduce my income not look for other ways to up it or divert spend to reduce the mortgage.

I think got caught up in the enthusiasm of them.

Thanks everyone who has answered this.

That's my concern. We've broken the back of it already (well DH has, I pay everything else). I don't really want to go into my financial affairs and post what I have outstanding, but I quite like the idea of the encouragement. Maybe I should just lurk for a bit.

Plan is to be mortgage free by mid 50s so we can decide whether we want to save more for pensions, go wild for a bit, or take the opportunity to reduce hours. I don't think we could afford to do all three, but two of three is also a possibility.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

That's why I lurk over there. And I'm certainly not going to be MFI3 (unless they mean decades). I just want to get the monthly commitment down a bit so I have more flexibility should my income decrease/ when my fixed rate finishes.

I have a spreadsheet to help my motivation :) and plenty of milestones (monthly interest falls under £x, daily interest falls under £y, mortgage: purchase pricefalls under z%...

Plus, I can always bore you lot with the details if I feel the need to share :D
