Think I am in for a rough night, youngest has had to use his inhaler several times today and his peak flows are struggling a tad.
Going to be a long night....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Gen, I'm really sorry to hear about yet more worries for you. Hopefully, it will indeed turn out to be benign and you'll just have the discomfort of having it removed.
My experience with doctors is that they don't always volunteer the truth, but they never tell an outright lie. So, the fact that you've been told it's probably Warthin's tumor is very positive. After all, wikipedia, besides showing a rather gruesome picture, also says that it is highly unlikely to become malignant.
I'll be pretty happy if that's what it is.0 -

I worked for many years near Heathrow airport. Thinking of all my friends and former colleagues in Wraysbury, Datchet, Staines, Colnbrook, Egham, Old Windsor and the local area. They are places that I know well and it is so sad seeing them on tv again. DH still works at Heathrow and also knows a lot of people facing problems. Very sad.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Not as bad a night as I thought it would be but still very sleep deprived as I was only able to grab a couple of hours of sleep....which is better than the no hours of sleep I was predicting!

I don't understand this blame thing over the weather.
I mean, on its very nature its an act of god. The emphasis on the levels is understandable but frankly, as a rural person with immense empathy with them, still a little bemusing to me. It concerns me that now people will compare the treatment of Somerset with the treatment of the areas in the se where there is very little comparison in the numbers of people impacted. NOT how much the individuals are impacted, not in the least.0 -

Nothing has happened at Heathrow, but it is near the Thames and its tributary the Colne, which are both bursting their banks.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
