Re sleep. I arrived back in the UK yesterday, overnight flight. BA has a new thing on its audio soundtrack. It's like a relaxation soundtrack that talks to you and hypnotises you to sleep. I used it and it worked a treat - and I'm someone who never sleeps on planes in economy (I can in club but that's with a bed). I must have had 5-6 hours all together, not bad on a seven and a half hour flight.

I was thinking of looking for something similar for home. As a rule I sleep well, but I do sometimes get a bit of jetlag.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I too am an astronaut. I put this down to my choice of Toy Story as film trilogy.

    To infinity, and beyond...

I put the Godfather down as my trilogy.

I get terrible jet lag these days, just awful.

What career should you have had...

    You got: Vice President

You are a doer, you know how to get things done. You’re half analytical, half big thinker, which is what makes you so valuable to any team. You love a good challenge, and are excited by possibility. Go get ‘em, tiger because at this point you’re pretty much unstoppable. Other occupations: engineer.

    You got : Professor

You are a thinker, in constant search of knowledge and answers to life’s most illusive questions. You love to analyze everything, testing out theories and pushing mental boundaries. Basically you’re an Einstein, but then again you probably already knew that.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Oh Gen. How scary for you. Still, you cook such wonderful things - presumably at least some of the time she is eating healthy stuff that you have cooked for the family, isn't she?

Yes. The diet is basically at least 1 proper cooked meal a day. Minimum of 2 portions of veg in there, more normally 3 for her and about 5 for me (I pile my plate with veggies). It's the crap she eats at the rest of the time that's the problem.

For example, I bought a multipack of Cadbury Mini Eggs yesterday. Today, 6 boxes are missing @ 200kCals a box.

Oh well. I drink over my 21 units a week most weeks so I'm hardly perfect. The bit that bothers me is the complete absence of any apparent desire to even attempt to sort things out. When I smoked I tried giving up every month I reckon, sometimes multiple times in a week. I had some pretty serious vices when I was a lot younger and sorted those out too

I got professor too, even though I chose Toy Story.

The only sleep trick I know is not to cat nap. I am incredibly ratty if I don't get a good nights sleep.

    Couldn't have been 6.

You get the usual random announcements that last for about the first 30 minutes, then about 30 minutes peace and quiet, then another couple of announcements for no apparent reason that wake you up, then another 30 minutes peace and quiet, then the food service and yet more random announcements, then just as you are settling down for a snooze, they like to tell you that you should settle down for a snooze...............then before you know it they are announcing stuff again because you are about an hour from landing
