Apparently I'm a Geordie. Which is news to me.

Very dear friend of mine who I think you'd get on well with is a Geordie. I don't suggest you move on that basis though. :rotfl:

It said Leeds for me. (That's said I wasn't sure on some of my answers).

Fancy, schmancy - I've never used those.

I couldn't manage without the calendar. There's no way I could remember where all three of us are supposed to be all the time if the info wasn't stored somewhere, and I'm much better off with an electronic calendar that I can back up than with a hard copy diary that I would probably lose.

Out of interest, when you arranged to meet up with lir and me, did you just remember when and where we'd arranged to meet, or did you write that down somewhere?

I could manage without the tasks, but the contacts thing is the best way for me to keep email addresses, phone numbers and snail mail addresses all in one place.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Any recommendations. Currently have an Epson that prints too slowly, but scans and faxes well.
Don't print stuff. I don't print stuff... I've an old printer (not sure where, don't think I chucked it out but might have done) that I just use for scanning (once every 2 years) and never faxing.

I did use it to scan in my parents' entire photo collection, that was the last time I used it, in early 2012.

    Welcome ladeeda

As a matter of introduction, see below a picture of the last Nice People meetup.

    10_21_10_hefner_kabik-95-570.jpg

Left to right top: vivatifosi, bugslet, spirit, pasturesnew
Left to right bottom: Lydia, silvercar, chewmylegoff, Singlesue and Nikkster.

I couldn't make it that day, unfortunately.
We said you weren't to share that.

That is either very sweet of you, or you are trying to rile Pastures. I think it is going to take more than that to turn her head.
Shush ... I gave you that £10 to take him, not knock him back.

Are there any NP who know anything about this stuff?
Not me.... I've not had exposure to modern software due to cost constraints. Even the version I have is er ... *coughs*.. look squirrels!

Yeah I like this thread too :)

    It's very educational also.
Yesterday I learned about Mornington Crescent, the game. Hadn't heard about it before. :embarasse

I wonder what I will learn today. :)

    You got: Newcastle

You’re forthright, with an amazing sense of humour. You’re practical, but not stuffy. Go North, you’re clearly a native Geordie.
