You can and it is much easier this way. Exploring ways to pay direct from the hmrc websites, used to give you options like BillPay to pay direct, now it sends you round in circles, including telling you to use your bank to set up a payment.

When I did mine I just googled and ended up at a bill pay page. I hope it has reached safely....

It will have, but it can take three days and PN was already on the deadline so only faster payments could get it there on time (i.e. before she had to pay interest and penalties)

I have read a bit of this (very long) thread and you do all seem very nice. My query is just how nice do you have to be to post on it? If there is set bench mark criteria for niceness I fear I may not meet it.

Worry not, you don't need to be nice you just have to post nice posts on this thread...and not liking mushrooms helps as well.

    Welcome Ladeeda :)

There is no strict criteria however common NP characteristics are:

    NP live in Herts
or in Greater Herts (everywhere else)
NP like or do not like mushrooms and are prepared to say which it is
You do not have to be, but may be, Jewish or have close family who are Jewish
There is a strong likliehood that you are a scientist, or not

You are very welcome join in:)

I think I could probably manage a few nice posts and I hate mushrooms. Passionately - the slimyness of the texture turns me, same for prawns.

Thanks for the welcome michaels - see, you lot really are nice

The criteria I meet are mushrooms (bad) and scientist (not) live in Herts (not) Jewish family (not)
Thanks for the welcome - I have read MSE for years and never got the urge to post before and now I'm a bit smitten. :o

I think the rather eclectic list is because we discuss certain subjects (at random) think there might be a pattern in posters and the realise there isn't really.

I think you saying that you decided to post having read our thread is one of the nicest thing anyone has ever said to us...and that on a nice thread :rotfl:
