We've got some friends coming over in a few weeks for dinner and I promised them a proper English meal.

I'm going to do roast beef with yorkies, roast spuds etc for mains and bread and butter pudding/spotted !!!!!! for puds. Ideas for a starter please...?

No starter, with that lot. Get stuck into the roast, I would.

Some of those are brilliant, thanks dryhat. I'd forego the toilet over the shaft, too scary. The standout under the desk is silly, but most of the others are inspired.

Dogs and I went to drop of papers at the accountant this morning. A norbert destriangle lorry was blocking the carpark up. I had to double park near but not next to the lorry.

When I came out they had made no progress in loading or unloading and said they hadn't wanted to because big dog was watching them.

Hmm.....what did they think she was going to do from inside the car (with no windows down) ?

Any way, I thought the dogs would enjoy watching the loading so I felt I'd cheated them a bit. I then had to reverse all the way for d the carpark and go out through the entry which comes off a scary fast one way bit. It was all a bit frustrating.

My accountant is really beautiful, . Beautiful, charming and clever and rather well off. Not terribly funny though. I suppose having it all is rare.

One of the Disney Paris hotels has an indoor/ outdoor pool.

I love some of those, trying to persuade OH to turn the under stairs cupboard into a set of pull out wine racks.

    Why pull-out wine racks?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I want to turn our understairs bit into a concealed cat litter bin cupboard. The end bit which is too short to get in too. We have panelling there, and I want to put it on a hinge so it can be opened so the tray can be pulled out for cleaning then shoved back for containing it. Then cut a little mouse hole shape into it like jerry the mouse would have in Tom and jerry cartoons :D
