I have scrubbed, with a toothbrush, the grout in my kitchen. well worth the effort and possibly the damaged nails. I'm hoping I won't need to repeat too often.

My cleaner :o does the floors with mop and bucket every week. With instruction not to let the wood get too wet.
Those steam cleaner ads that run through the night show steam cleaners going along grout and lifting dirt effortlessly .... do they lie?

We tried steam cleaning the grotty wood and stone windows upstairs a couple of years ago. After about two hours off frustrating facing I gave up and went and got a toothbrush, hot water and clothes.

I love the idea of effortless steam cleaning, it hasn't been my experience. RP has three or four steamers and I have said only one can be kept. I said this in October or something and nothing's been done about it,

RP likes to buy cleaning tools, but not to clean, thus making it harder to clean round all the carp that's been bought. This causes frustration. RP then hoards it in bedroom. There are about half a dozen floor sweepers in there now.

I've never taken part in a double entendre in my life, what sort of filthy prevert do you think I am?!

No dirty pics either I'm afraid, I run the steam cleaner over them first, it gets all the gunge out of the crevices.
    I think....

I wonder if gelded tigers would make nice pets.

I'd try. Dog dog is stripey, she'd look good with a tiger chum.

We'd need more and bigger dog beds.

I've got my doubts. Cheetahs have been kept as pets (and used to be raced in greyhound stadia as a novelty act).
    And there's this.

I love that whole story of Christian the lion.

The whole born free thing with ilse, and the real story is so happy sad.

Heavy rain & gales here this weekend. Still no sign of snow & no real frosts. This is a bizarre "winter".
    .

We've had a couple of frosts this week, this morning by far the worse as the road was like a skid pan and my car was frozen shut!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I was recently talking to a vet who worked in the middle east. He said it was not uncommon for the wealthy and well connected to keep exotic pets and that he treated a pair of big cats kept as pets. It was an ethical quandary for him, if he didn't treat, then the animals would get sick or illness would go untreated, if he did, it reinforced the trade in endangered species. In the end he gave up practicing there.
