I'd not worry about what others thought. If I wanted to wear something and it was comfortable, or if it was all I had available and it was a case of going in that or not ... I'd go.0 -
Be friendly. Get them to visit the site so they can see the true picture.
That was before , with the planning officers in preplanning.
Honestly, seeing what others have gone though with planing and appeals my experience of paying someone else to do it and spending a long time in preplanning smoozing seems well worth it.. I think that the persona who handling the planning was the architect and so able to respond to concerns in a meaningful way in terms of the project not in a 'I'm just here for this bit' was also help ful.
Good luck michaels.0 -

You cook goose eggs, I cook ostrich ones.0 -
Either you have two or, depending who you consult on the subject, you can use one dishwasher but put milk and meat dishes in at different times.
You can also buy a half and half dishwasher that has two separate zones that can be used independently. Designed as a economical and green dishwasher rather than a kosher one.0 -

Good luck michaels.
Needs to be more friendly - if they'd just said "No, not that bit, how about pushing that back 2', turning that bit, using this roof .....?" it shouldn't be repeated expensive submissions hoping. It should be simple:
Hello, I want to build a house
What do you have in mind?
This.....
Yes/No .... because of this bit *points*, and this bit *points* and that bit *points*
OK .... so if I do those changes, that's OK....?
Yes
OK, see you next week, with the new drawings.0 -

For a short length of time it is possible to manage by keeping your stuff to yourself. For the longer term life is much easier if you live in a kosher household.
The only time I didn't was as a student. Then it was easier to give up meat rather than milk. At least eating non-meat foods, you can share your own meals and utensils with everyone you live with. After all fish is fish. If you stick with meat, you can't mix your meat with non-kosher meat.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. We have two dishwashers, one for meat and one for milk. We also have some pots and dishes that are neither meaty nor milky, and yours truly washes those up by hand in a third sink.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
