After posting that I went into the cheese room to see if we had any in the food cupboard so I could read the ingredients to see if they complied....but we don't have any.

They are very naughtily morish.:D. Like savoury rich tea biscuits.

We sometimes have Quorn pieces in sweet and sour sauce, which is almost acceptable. :)
If I were going veggie with S/S then I'd rather fry some veggies in batter than use quorn just for the sake of it. So, whatever is common in tempura batter at stands/stalls/markets .... would be OK. Cauli, sweetcorn, ... although, bizarrely, I'd even be happy with onion bhajis and S/S sauce if the S/S sauce were the one I usually expect to pick up at a chinese takeaway.

    I don't mind mixing cuisines :)

Egg fried rice, onion bhajis and S/S sauce...... and maybe some chips :)

Speaking of bacon...has anyone tried turkey bacon? I cannot remember if I have or not.....
I tried it many years ago - expecting it to taste of turkey, but look like bacon.... it tasted of bacon. As it was called Turkey Rashers, that doesn't seem like a mad idea to have formed.

Only tried it the once. Shame... rather fancied turkey rashers.....

Looks lovely and very practical in the cheese room. I think it may be cold in the study.

That's true, it would be cold visually. But they are thin enough for underfloor heating:D. And there is exposed timber for warmth and then I can add some sumptuous curtains.

I wasn't going to put curtains in the study, just roman blinds, because it only has cottage windows, but to year I bought cheap dark grey curtains up in their and the long, dark curtains work surprisingly well, which has made me think a blind all year, then a thick warm curtain in a luxurious silk, or sumptuous velvet for more texture against the rough exposed wood.

I love contrasts in texture like that, rough with sumptuous, cold with warm.

I think the thing is the study is in the corner of the house, so do I treaty it as the wood end of the front of the house, or the stone end of the single story 'Victorian' workaday bit?

ATM I love the stone floor so much I'd run it through the garden room at the back of the house too though.......:p

Yesterday one of the dealers spent £97,500 on a watch.

Seller had bought it (to wear) for £100k and went into the programme wanting £120k for it.
