We sometimes have Quorn pieces in sweet and sour sauce, which is almost acceptable.
I don't mind mixing cuisines
Egg fried rice, onion bhajis and S/S sauce...... and maybe some chips0 -

Looks lovely and very practical in the cheese room. I think it may be cold in the study.
That's true, it would be cold visually. But they are thin enough for underfloor heating:D. And there is exposed timber for warmth and then I can add some sumptuous curtains.
I wasn't going to put curtains in the study, just roman blinds, because it only has cottage windows, but to year I bought cheap dark grey curtains up in their and the long, dark curtains work surprisingly well, which has made me think a blind all year, then a thick warm curtain in a luxurious silk, or sumptuous velvet for more texture against the rough exposed wood.
I love contrasts in texture like that, rough with sumptuous, cold with warm.
I think the thing is the study is in the corner of the house, so do I treaty it as the wood end of the front of the house, or the stone end of the single story 'Victorian' workaday bit?
ATM I love the stone floor so much I'd run it through the garden room at the back of the house too though.......:p0 -
