I was given a quick guided tour of a super posh spa place once, at the start of a week's temp work in 2010. I'd never been in one.... and this one was a bit snazzy - and I had no idea what it was all about/for, but the tour was to give me an overview of the geography of the hotel in case I wanted to go chasing up paperwork from departments (role was Sage Accounts, so might have had to go collect invoices etc).

Ahh! Light dawns. Thanks lir.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
even my eldests fellow students at University seem like spotty kids to me rather than serious students..................Policemen look young to me too
Apparently, when High Court judges start looking young, that's the time to worry (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Having just tried to spell the word 'rural' four times over the phone to some one writing an invoice to the business the closest they could get from what I was saying was 'ruru'
It will have to do.0 -

I'm fine, just a bit tired, trying to shake off this annoying bug I've picked up. OH and Isaac have it too, but lower immune system in pregnancy means I've either had a nastier dose, or I whinge more. Probably the latter, actually.
Fortunately, not a massively horribly busy week in court this week - only 2 days, which means I've had time to sulk and rest a bit.
I think your hats sound absolutely gorgeous, Bugs. I'm a hat fan, too.PasturesNew wrote: »NDG is mad for hats..... and I think interested in making them (although the term interested might mean if there were 48 hours in a day, not 24)
Precisely so - I adore hats, and would love to make them, but find myself a bit short of time for an additional hobby.
I really don't get people who talk about being off work for a day or two and bored - there are so many hundreds of things I can think of that I'd want to do in any spare time I have that I think they should enjoy the time and make the most of it!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I have had a similar problem today. I have spoken to three separate people about "lock maintenance" and in all three cases I had to say multiple times until they understood me. I have a bug at the moment and am a bit bunged up, so heaven only knows what they thought I was saying. The scary thing is that they are the ones who contacted me to say it was being done, so you'd think they'd expect a call or two. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I smashed my laptop screen by dropping the hairdryer on it. Of course the cheaper item is fine. It has gone to the doctor. My phone screen doesn't work properly either so I am going to be generally quiet over the next few days.
Considering that I will never get a boot room here, I bought a big black plastic garden storage box to put outside the front door to deposit muddy boots in. The soil here is sandy. Because of the weather and building work at the back, even my bed has sand in it. I am losing the will. I have also ordered a baby gate to keep the dogs downstairs. I've had them short clipped but, pah.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The mysteries of my house.
Behind the hall radiator lurks a brick wall, not plastered but instead boarded. A snatch of newspaper behind the boarding - 1969!
Behind the study radiator was some thick type of foil stuck to the wall, firmly stuck, very firmly stuck. Doubly annoying as we though we would get away without decorating the study.
So now I need to find a decorator that can prepare a surface and to paint.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
