    Thanks for the reminder!
Saw it being trailed on breakfast news and thought it might be useful for some ideas (of what I like... or not!).

Was going to make a special effort to watch Corrie tonight, but not sure I'm in the right frame of mind for such emotional episodes (see above sharing of life history!).

Me too, then I forgot ... I was transferring my notepad notes to evernote and spotted it... so turned over and posted.

Overall .... One of the rooms is a complete c0ck up, one's half a c0ck up and the 3rd one's acceptable but not brilliant.

You can catch Corrie on +1 et al

There is a house, slightly gnawing at me.... completely wrong, but when there's nothing then the wrong stuff has to be considered.

1-bed, OK price, no garage. Not sunny garden/tiny outside space. It's had a refurbishment and I feel if I went and looked at it I'd be annoyed that they've missed the opportunity to make it a great house ..... and I couldn't make it a great house as it'd mean ripping up a lot of 'value' I'd have had to have paid for, out of a fast-dwindling pot available ... and I suspect I'd get halfway through turning it into an OK house and run out of money - and still wish I had £40k I'll never have to make it into a great house.

And it'd never be a great house as the outside space would still be too small and wrong orientation.

But, at least it's in budget.... so I will settle for the fact that sometimes houses do come up in budget, even if they're still entirely wrong.

Nikkster it sounds like your mum and dad just got on with life as it needed to be after a tricky time.

I admire them both for finding a way through on their own.

Times weren't fabulously fun even before that, but yes they've always done their best for us. Can't ask for more than that (though I do wish they'd thought about what was better for them more).

I hope I don't sound like I'm ungrateful. I most definitely am (edit - grateful!).

It was on 7:30-8 and 8-8:30.

I know it's only a soap, but it was incredibly sad.
