Internet free zone at the weekend, part of my decompression plan!
Not going great at the moment. Waiting for a call from the GP. Mr Bugs' brother and I are asking for the fluids to be withdrawn as he has not eaten or drunk literally anything since Thursday. He's down to less than six and half stone now. We seem to be prolonging his life for no good reason.
Oh Bugs, thinking of you xxxWe made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I just did that income thing again with the old figures from when I was married (and using the boys ages at that time too)...we earned more than 84% of the population!
Godness knows what it would have worked out to be back then.....We made it! We decided on Tablets this year and I have managed to secure 3 hudls (60 each using Tesco clubcard double up) but I'm hoping I might find better value yet. For the first time we are letting DKs choose presents for each other with £10 each limit (unless they want to top up from their own money). I am finding it extremely difficult seeing the carp they are choosing, particuarly as they are buying full (= grossly inflated) price rather than looking for bargains. Then we will need a bunch of stocking fillers and also something each from Santa but given the cost of the tablets in needs to be fairly cheap.
For your DS I think it is up to you what you give not what he wants that should determine your choice.
I'm really struggling here too, have had to cut it right down on the presents to nieces, nephews and siblings, so far have managed to get my sister's, older niece and 2nd youngest niece presents for £2 each.
Have no idea what I am going to do for the boys, money is so scarce at the moment and time is running out but the £340 bill just under 2 weeks ago for my teeth has really beggered things up.
But - it will get sorted somehow, it always does..and without loans etc.We made it! From everything you have told us i suspect they are mature enough to understand if it is just a token present and an IOU that Santa brings on the 25th.I think....0 -

Agreed. There is a 5 off 25 code for Amazon on the grabbit board if that helps at all. (Amex holders there's also a code for 5 off 20 which works at the same time).0 -
FInished Afghan night <yawn>
Tomorrow's my only day not in court this week, so I'll not be up at sparrow fart....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Big dog is not meant to gad about when her back is bad, obviously, but she stays near me or dh happily and we don't take her across the fields, so often don't bother putting her on a collar and lead till she is feeling better.
I can say happily she will have her collar on today, she's stretching and wagging her tail and wanted to go for a bit of a trot about.. So, she's more comfortable for now,
. Phew. What a relief!
