such cuties. Give them a hello and a hug from fir and I michaels.
DH bought cheese but didn't eat it, the bottle wine still has four and a half glasses in it, and at least half a bottle of champagne ( thank goodness for super bubble preserving corks) .
IMO breakfast was the best part of eating today where I ate forbidden dairy foods ( with also forbidden whatever painkillers are in lemsip) and forbidden oranges because we had tamsin day Lewis recipe for 'le cake' which we love to bits, and, waffle with spiced caramelised oranges.
I also ate forbidden sprouts today. Come on...you got to right? But no booze, and no dairy outside breakfast. A little cheese and clarified butter ( clarified butter should be ok) and an not even a whole orange and some sprouts. No roasted onions, no lashings of cream, no glass of that beautiful Barolo ......;).
Still was all good. Part from delia's boring bit.0 -
Fc, I hope your mum continues to do well with the stent. That's nasty about the flooding/water damage. There's some villages near us been affected by floods.
Nobody's travelling around here and when I went to walk the dog it was like a disaster movie where everybody died of some plague.
Had a big family dinner and now stuffed with great food including smashing sprouts and lovely hame turkey bacon sauasages and veg.
Telly's been on all day. Dr Who was a visual feast but not a great story.

That is very Nice.:T:T:T A great performance by a talented )and not to mention cute) choir and arranged by a Nice thoughtful man.
Happy Christmas Nice people everywhere, hope your celebrations and company were good. Sorry to hear of PNs sibling...if all else fails try to see the funny side. fc you are certainly living in interesting times...and deserve some good luck.
All fine here, had a peaceful day, church, uneventful dinner and Trivial Pursuits. Lovely gifts for me, ,nothing bewildering at all, however the Ted Baker parka for DD was a big fail as she does not like 'fur' and it has a fur lined hood so my MSE bargain (20% off price match) has to go back.0 -
Sorry to hear your news, fc. Glad other people had a good time in the main.
Tonight's food was also not to successful, deli bought fish goujons were tough and rejected. Still we have pavlova, choc mousse and apple pie as well as mince pies and more.

Hope everyone has a good day today - another good one for those for whom yesterday was lovely, and an improvement for those for whom it wasn't.
Quietish day for us yesterday. Didn't get woken too early. DS got up by himself, opened his stocking and watched the dvd it contained before waking the other two of us.Church was fun, kids liked their presents, and did better than expected at my "special present" - 24hours without them squabbling.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I count myself very lucky that amongst the presents I didn't receive this Christmas was a onesie.
