In terms of bespoke suits, I can remember the guys from where I used to work meeting with a guy from the Far East who would fly to the UK, measure them up then send them back beautiful made to measure suits in the cloths of their choice. They always looked fabulous and were a fraction of the UK price. It sounds like fir could do with someone like that. Not sure where you'd find them though.
Hate buying work clothes, suits etc. Found a chain of stores which is the only place I'll bother with (it was the world's largest menswear store in the 80s I beleive). They've got the knack for knowing when to step in and serve you and when to leave yiou to browse. It's a wonder to behold. They make alterations free immediately.
It's not like Willie Wonka's version of a menswear store with Oompa Loompas dashing around to make everything perfect but it makes an otherwise excruciating ordeal swift and efficient. Only problem is they don't have many stores in the south.

Blimey, it's always the same when a new NP thread starts. More rabbit than Sainsbury's.
I love venison. It roasts well, hot and fast. Good for casseroles too but it needs a bit of bacon in with it otherwise it dries out.
I can swim a mile if I train up to it. No idea if I could train to do 5 miles. I suspect my technique would need work.0 -

I was taught old English backstroke. I can swim for longer using this as it is much less tiring (in my limited experience) than crawl and breaststroke. I have trouble with rotation through my shoulders with proper backstroke and as for butterfly... well I sink.
Old English backstroke takes up space, but is great and really easy to do. It is easy for non swimmers to pick up.
I mention it as I wonder if the better swimmers ever use it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Never heard of old English breaststroke. Is it normal breaststroke but with native bearers?0

Gen, I'm sorry, but you are seeing breasts where there are none. It is a form of backstroke. The leg movement is most similar to a breaststroke, flipped over (it is actually a bit different, but that's an easy way to describe it), and the arm motion is very different.
I'm not sure if this guy is doing it technically correct (I don't know what technically correct is), but it is the only video I could find:

It says I'm better off than 59% of the population. It seems a bit odd - I'm a single income household and only pay basic rate tax - but I guess it's because it thinks one adult and two children don't need as much as two adults etc. If my income stays the same next year when DS will move up into the 14-18 age group, I'll only be better off than 51% of the population.
Edit - redid this after realising I'd put the wrong numbers in the first time round, and have changed the numbers in this post too. 51% sounds about right. I feel quite medianish!
Says I am better off than 26% of the population - I did include all benefits including housing benefit, council tax, child benefit and carers allowance but not youngest's DLA as that is his and pays for his therapies/equipment/special food.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

However if floating was an Olympic sport I could spend all day doing that. So I'd swim about a mile, have a rest, swim another mile, have another rest; all along hoping that I hadn't drifted into a shipping lane. Not a good idea I think and something I wouldn't want to try unless my life depended on it.
I used to be a great swimmer but now when I swim, my back goes into spasm and I am rendered almost paralysed in the water with only a tiny bit of movement in one of my hands. We made it! Although only in size 4 .... which isn't much use to most of the adult population.

I included all my benefits too - child benefit, child/working tax credit, and widowed parent's benefit. And I included my widow's pensions from both LNE's pension schemes, and my kids' survivors' pensions too because they're payable to me to spend on bringing them up until they're old enough to deal with their own finances. Since they don't need special food/therapies/equipment and your youngest does, I think it's fair for me to include my kids' pensions in "my" income and for you not to include your youngest's DLA.
ETA When we first started getting these pensions when LNE died, I checked with HMRC, and my kids' pensions don't count as my income for tax credits calculations. Which explains why I still get tax credits at my level of income.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
