If they have one he'll get it this year.
Mean while my tasteful bauble window has just been augmented by his multicoloured light throwing disco ball.0 -
Oh bollox.....
I have spectacularly c0cked up on the xmas shopping front.
No idea what Mrs McT is getting as the thing I idly thought to myself 'that would be nice to get DW for xmas' two months ago is now sold out.
Was instructed to get new fridge as family coming here for xmas dinner this year instead of us going there, and it's arriving Monday...
But the Tesco shop arrives two hours earlier than the fridge.
Also being a male, when I ordered the turkey, I selected 'large'. Have just been told this will feed 20. There are four of us....
Been a bit frazzled with work of late, but this is bloomin ridiculous.:o“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Sopping will last two hours out of the fridge. Do you have a garage ? Up there especially a garage will be fine. I didn't have a fridge at all for a while....use a larder.. When I bought my fridge last year I learned you no longer have to leave them 24 hours to settle. So you will be able to pack everything straight in. Ideal really. You can put. All the cupboard stuff away. Any freezer stuff do you have a cool box? You can get ones which plug into cigaret lighter in car.....brilliant.0 -

Not at this house. Have an outbuilding though....
Fairly sure most things will be fine, was just worried about the bird.
Brilliant to hear fridges dont take 24 hours to sort now.:T
How long did it take yours to cool down?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I'm really tired - definitely ready for a nice rest. I've been in court for 9 working days in a row, and have some more paperwork to clear up before Christmas, but I'm finished in court until 2nd January.
Our toffee is still cooking - Isaac's delighted, as I can't amke him go to bed until it's finished....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

No idea hamish. I just put stuff straight in it, it was fine,
The nice John Lewis men then sat and had their lunch in my yard watching the ponies having set it up.
Seriously...it will be fine. My Christmas bird lived in the meat safe in the larder with no fridge when I didn't have one. Wouldn't do it in. A warm house or in summer, but in winter...use your outbuilding if need be.....and something with a lid on so you don't attract vermin or feed any that exist.
Sharing the bird is a step too far, even for me.0 -
