That's right -they are asking for it. The only way they are dialling my home number is if they are random dialing - it is not listed and never given out.

If they want to disturb my evening trying to sign me up for crap then they have to accept the response they get.

If I can bring them to tears (which I have done on more than one occasion) then even better. I've got a few of my better examples on my YouTube channel - they're very popular and all the comments are positive :rotfl:, so it looks like I'm not alone in disliking the scum.

My mother is more than happy when I deal with the scum that have rung her number in the past when I've been there.

If some scamming (text removed by MSE Forum Team) wants to try to scam old ladies by telling her that her computer is infected then as far as I am concerned the (text removed by MSE Forum Team) deserves everything they get.

But if they ring you, you feel free to have a nice chinwag with them and tell them what lovely people they are.

My dds think I am awful when I say "i am not interested" and hang up,

I see their point but years ago when they were toddlers someone rang me up - while I was answering the call one of dds fell over, hurt herself and screaming in pain. I asked caller to hang up as i thought my small child had broken her arm and I needed to call GP etc. She kept rabbiting her sales speil!!!!

Scum is the polite word for her as she must have clearly heard child screaming in pain and did not give a damn!

I also had a teenage dd say she would deal with sales call for me - don't know what she said but they called me next day to arrange appointment to measure up for god knows what!!!

Neighbour has just has unwanted call - said he was busy , not interested, either go away or call at six that night. He got a phone call from the manager trying to arrange an appointment to sort installation he neither knew about or wanted.

Unless you actually get nasty and abusive they just keep on and on and on!!!
