Yes you certainly are. Perhaps you would like to comment on the first post or is that to difficult. I made a genuine comment but perhaps you haven't bothered to read it.

Do you have some proof they are tricking vulnerable people?
What exactly are the donations funding-Red cross to carry out first aid training in schools?
I have read and asked these simple questions.

Perhaps you should read my original post as I believe it gives you the answers to your questions, if you are unable to understand I will try to explain, again. Man comes to door and states he's from the Red Cross and convinces my Wife that he just wants her signature to convince the powers that be that Schools should offer First aid training for children, My Wife believes that this must be a good thing and says that she will be happy to sign, at this point I come in and find that what she is actually being asked to sign is a form agreeing to a monthly payment to the Red Cross. Hopes this makes my original post a little clearer.

To get back on point, yes, the red cross is just as bad as other charities at outsourcing their door to door workers to agencies. They will often lead you to believe they are volunteers for the charity, they are employed to sell, they want you to sign up, just the same as other dodgy door step collectors from other charities or gas/electric suppliers, they will also use the same tactics to get your signature on that piece of paper. They also don't feel the no cold callers sign applies to them.

Have previously contacted Red Cross about these collectors who have visited me and they really couldn't give two hoots.

I think then that vulnerable was possibly the wrong word.
No, your original post didn't make that clear.
They wouldn't have been able to do it without her bank details, surely, at which point it would have been obvious what they were doing.
If they actually did try to trick her in some way that's wrong, but you weren't party to the original conversation.

I didn't state that my Wife was vulnerable. In our area there are many elderly vulnerable residents and many would almost certainly have been taken in with his sales patter, this style of selling, though it may have been for a good cause, must be deplored. I may not have been party to the original conversation but I believe what my Wife tells me.

They really don't seem to care. They tried the same spiel with me about 18 months ago, resuscitation in school, will you sign here to say you support it, it was also a sign up form with direct debit mandate. Sneaky. But as I say, all of these door knocker are the same, you've just to get in the mindset of not trusting them as far as you could throw them......and sign nothing

But I ask you, they would have required your bank details? Wrong though!
