    Good Afternoon :hello:

havent read all of the thread yet but I will sit down with a cup of tea and have a good catch up.

I hope Lorenzo is alright Kyle - been thinking of you this morning (((HUGS)))

Well I thought that I was supposed to sign on for JSA at 09.00 this morning but I had got the time wrong and it was 11am so I just had to spend a couple of hours in town kiling time  got some lovely bargains in Home Bargains and Pound Land though :D
We have just had a thunder storm here so everything now looks so bright and fresh outside.
My neighbour over the road is fine - his brother has been and switched off the light.
I have somebody coming over soon to collect a single bed from Freecycle so that will free up a bit of space in the garage for more junk :o I really need to do a car boot sale but I havent got a car this weekend and I am away next weekend so its going to have to wait.
My Mum is going to help out tonight taking DD to and from singing lesson and tomorrow I have to work out how and where to catch a bus to take her to dance class :o I didnt organise myself very well before the rental car went back this morning as I will need a top up shop this weekend so will have to try to manage on my bike

right Im off to make a cup of tea ((((HUGS)))) to those who want or need them. Catch up later - OOPS

    Hi everyone!
All well here although have a rather tender rump this morning. A group of us decided in our wisdom to cycle out to one of the local village pubs for a meal along the old railway track. Fine and sunny on the way out but chucking it down on the way home. All the others are on their super swish mountain bikes with their nice big fat tyres and squashy saddles...then there's me with my 25 year old bone shaker, brakes that sound like a mouse is expiring rapidly and the extensive choice of 3 gears [probably by now jammed in place and unusable]. The old dear had cobwebs on her when I wheeled her out of the garage yesterday:D Nevertheless a fabby evening.
Tonight more mundane weekly shop at Mr T. Other OS today...bedding and towels changed and white wash on. Believe OH is going to put the BM on and cook the mixed pepper bake thingy for tea.
This weekend I have the small person to myself as OH is off on a bellringing outing. Hope to have time to pick up some cheapie perennials from a local house as er rather pruned my garden last night and now have gaps in need of filling:j and then should be meeting up with a friend and her son for coffee later. At some point I have to put together my Master Chef style dessert which I shall be serving my parents on Sunday along with GR's cabbage galette....so that'll be soft fruit and icing sugar all mixed up with non HM vanilla icecream and smashed up shop bought [shhhh!] meringues shoved into a lined loaf tin and frozen overnight. Told you that if there's a cooking shortcut I'll use it!
    Have a great weekend everyone.

    Afternoon All

Kyle and Jackie O; thinking of you today. (((Hugs))) to all in need and Pink-winged I'm very jealous of your holiday

Had a nice swim this morning with the LO, going to get on with the cleaning this afternoon. Sold a baby chair on Ebay last night and the man is coming to collect it in the morning so that £13 toward dd passport, unfortunately DH needs renewing as well so it looks like I'm going to have to find other things to sell, want to get them both done before the price goes up again.

its HM pizza night tonight its rather a messy job because DD "helps" and we tend to end up with a random assortment of toppings.

    Have a good afternoon everyone

Hope all goes well at the hospital this afternoon Jackie O

I have just given the single bad a wipe over with a damp cloth ready for collection - even though I have taken it out of the garage I dont seem to have gained any extra space though  I am now praying it doesnt rain again as it is on my drive.
Bumped into my over the road next door neighbour while I was out there - he is off work and has done something to the ligaments in his thumb so he had to have it operated on and it is all strapped up. I knew there was something wrong. He said that I could borrow his car if I could get insurance as he cant drive for 6 weeks but I probably wont take him up on it as I would be too worried. My actual next door neighbour came out too and he has just been away for a few days to Ireland but he ended up in hospital too for a day following an accident so he isnt too good either.
My home phones seem to have stopped working  I cant get a dialling tone and they are not ringing if somebody phones me so I dont think it is the line. Problem is that the phones are the digital ones and are only a few months old but I bought them from comet and I cant get them back because I dont have a car till next Wednesday now :( so I am having to use my mobile which wouldnt be a problem if I actually had coverage where I live :o nothing is ever easy.
I have just spoken to my Nana on the phone as I cant get to see her this weekend and she sounds really well. She was in a horiffic car accident about 2 years ago and she is 89 years old. I do hope this lasts as she has been through so much and she sounds so happy.
Well the sun is still shining so I think I will risk my washing on the line for a bit.

    catch you later - OOPS

(((JackieO)))) ((((scuzz))) and anybody else who needs a hug.

Pouring with rain here and need to go out to get bits and bats for tea.

The couple who came to see our house last night will nt be putting in an offer and our house has not yet appeared on the website.

Despite being more expensive our estate agents do not seem all that quick at updating their website! Every 24 hours my foot! To put it politely!

Dds last exam is on Monday and I will be glad once the stress is off for her.

Have decided not to fret about selling the house and just enjoy the peace and quiet while I can.

    Afternoon all,

JackieO, hope that your result from the second mammogram is good...they are very careful so check every one that is in any way cloudy...thinking of you.

Kyle, I hope that you and LO are home by now, the good thing about children is that they bounce back so much more quickly than adults, so he will be fine once all is properly set.

Scuzz...agree with everything already said by others, I was a doormat for years and find life so much easier since I made myself stop.

Roast chicken, broccoli, cabbage, carrot and baked potatoes for to-days dinner, OH once again doing the honours. DD3 is much recovered to-day from her tooth extractions and is currently in kitchen with DGS 1 making a chicken pie, she needs my scales and advice!

Nothing else exciting, family going out to dinner to-morrow night in one of my favourite restaurants and as I am a guest it will be free.

DD2 and DGD1 are visiting a friend and will not be here for dinner so the evening will be fairly quiet but she is going out later minus daughter so I presume that I will be babysitter in chief.

Hope that everybody has a nice weekend and the weather improves for those who are having lots of rain.

    Good afternoon everyone,

Thriftlady - PP has started her weekly meal planning thread, so she is around, hope she is ok after her hospital visit this week tho!!!

Well, just waiting for the last childminding one to go, then i have the next 2 days off - im so glad, been really tierd this week.

Made twinks hob nobs earlier with Lo, they are lovely. Also built towers and played lego, not as good as buscuits, but LO enjoyed it!!!

Still cant find where the smell in my kitchen is coming from - im running out of things to clean. Moved the DW and WM out and cleaned under them, no smell in them now or behind them - more bleach down the sink, all the worktops wiped down again, fridge cleaned out completely, top of cupboards (and in them) done - not sure where else to go!!! Think the only thing left is maybe more bleach down the drains, will have to go and get some more tho, as i have now run out!!! If that doesnt work, then im stumped!!!

Well, last one has now gone, just had our HM pizza and we will be walking down the road in a minute, to take DD to her club - they are doing 'backwoods cooking', where they take a burger and a bun, and its cooked over an open fire - DS was meant to be going, but hes been grounded, so im standing my ground, and hes staying with me!!

Ok, hope everyone has a lovely evening - kyle and Jackie O - hope all went well this morning!!!

    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well stonemason has finished and the house didn't fall down! :j Looks good now. Pernickety neighbour made sure she stuck her head out twice to make sure the workers were going to clean up and they'd only just started!
I know she's trying to sell her house but she's always been over the top. A few years ago OH swept our shared garden pathway. She came home from work half an hour later and went straight out and did it again! That's happened several times. She's one of those people who thinks that no-one else does anything as well as she does.

So stonemason washed and swept pavement, I put the hose on high pressure on it afterwards, and its pelted down ever since. What do you want to be she still goes out and does it again when she gets home at 8 pm :rotfl:

Did a Mr T shop using a £4 off £40. Still spent £70 and apart from 2 meals and enough tuna for a weeks sarnies it's all gone on non-food and cat-food! Did get another £4 off £40 for next week so maybe I'll buy some food then - one way of dieting I suppose ;)

Now have to go clean downstairs floors off stonemason dust that got tramped through whilst trying to clean pavement. And put shop away and cook. Never stops!

Got soaked picking raspberries and strawberries in the rain. Would have left it until tomorrow but wicked witch on neighbouring plot visits on Saturday and I'm not the only one who'se noticed fruit and veg disappear at the same time! Last year, a couple of allotmenteers watched her stick her hand through into my fruit cage and pick my fruit for 15 mins. She denied it - then said that it was a treat for the MacMillan nurses!

    Rant over :rotfl:

Anyone got any recipes for squooshy strawberries and seedy raspberries?

    JackieO any news?
