OS DAILY FRIDAY 22nd JUNE

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 22nd June. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning Amie and all who follow/cross:
Well I', at w*rk, only 5 more work get up days, but I'm not counting - much.
Have a good Day at Goodwood Amie, I am sure a brolly will suffice.
DS now at Glastonbury, spoke to him last night, and already having a whale of a time, I don't suppose a bit of mud will both them. I hope the rain hols off a bit for them all over 177,000 the news has just said.
Better get on almost 30 years worth of "junk" to sort out in my office before next Friday:eek:  Will take it home and sort it so I can Freecycle what is usable.
Need to get to the hairdressers this afternoon to hide my twinklies.:o :o

((((hugs)))), Birthday/Anniversay wishes as appropriate. Moillere the wedding/holiday sounded great. That is my type of division of labour, DH doing jobs and me reading :rotfl: :rotfl:
    Take care

Kyle/Twink thinking of you, stop blaming yourselves, these things happen, not nice as they are. My DS broke his arm once when he was 4, due to lack of females I had been roped in to a women -v- men (wearing wellies) football match at our annual works sports day (they don't happen any more now) - So I was in goal, with any kids who wanted to join me making a wall. End of game guys frustrated one kick the ball towards to goal harder than he should. DS took the shot on his arm. He winged, and I told him to stand at the side of the pitch for the last ive mins. Took him to St John's who though he had just bruised it. Still winging, so went back to SJ they put it in a sling to support it but still though no break. Put him in his car seat (he was small and light) fell asleep on the way home, winged when he woke up gave him some Calpol, went to be slept all night (as was the norm) got up the next morning jumped out of his Captains Bed, winged a bit, more Calpol, at 10 am I gave in a took him to Casualty. Yep broke :o

His only comment - well at least I stopped them scoring!!

    Good morning eveyone,

Susie - hope Kyle gets on ok today, will be thinking of you xxx (and twink, hope she is ok)

Amie - enjoy Goodwood, hope the rain holds off for you!!!!

Well, im tierd, but its my last day at work today, and only 1 LO here so should be quite a nice one. Its the LO that leaves in July, so i will see what he wants to do, it will be nice to spend some quality time with him before he leaves.

Still have that horrible smell in my kithen, im sure its coming from the DW, but ive now run a hot vinegar wash, and used 2 of those expensive 'finish' cleaners and the smell is still here. Ive also run a hot, empty wash with vinegar in the WM, bleached the sink, and poured bicarb and vinegar, followed by boiling water down the sink/drain. Any more ideas anyone?
Nothing much else planned, the weather looks ok art the moment, but no doubt it will be showery again today, every time i hang washing out outside, the rain has started the last couple of days, so my kitchen looks like a chinese laundry, and the washing basket isd getting full again - never mind, i will be possitive, im sure summer is right around the corner!!!

Ok, my cuppa is calling, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Have you tried pulling out the appliances & checking underneath? I just wondered if anything could have got under there & be stinky! It happened to me once & it took me ages to find out what it was.:o

    Morning All

OOOH I'm soooooooo angry. Work have upped my workload even more and have now told me that I'll no longer be paid for any overtime I do. That's it. I'm off. I don't know how, but I'm getting out of here ASAP. Just can't take anymore of the rubbish they keep throwing at me. They want people to do the work of 6/7 people for a wage not worthy of one person. So the job hunt intensifies with everyone I know on the look out!

Didn't sleep again last night. Think it's the stress of work.

Just checked hotmail and I have a few surveys to do for a few extra pennies. Archerfish I just need 2p more and I can request my cheque.

Got a colleague leaving work for three months of travel today. Leaving do for her and another colleague is happening tomorrow. So this will probably be an expensive weekend for me, which I could do without.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Day OFF:j

The weather has been horrendous, so I have some gardening to do, if it stops raining.

Meat to buy for BBQ tomorrow, and lots of little jobs as well. No work till Monday afternoon. Nice thought.

It's lashing down here in Berkshire, but at least it's Friday, woohoo.
All the pets are fed & watered, I don't think Thumper & OGden will be coming out to play today, they will probable spend the day cuddled up together in the hutch.
Hugs to Kyle's lo, my daughter broke her wrist when she was 9 & it had to be re-set, though she had it done under local anesthetic(sp).
Hope everyone has a good day
    Hugs to all

    Good morning everyone!

Well, it's raining nicely here too, so washing will just have to go in the TD, except my outfit from last night which is "hand wash cold water only" & is too wet to go in TD having soaked all last night. I think next time I'll give it a go on 30 deg. wash in a pillowcase.

Kyle - hope all goes well with lo. Don't beat yourself up about not being OS at the moment, there are times when convenience stuff is useful, and this is one of those times.

Today I need to go to work & finish off what I couldn't do on Wednesday, so not too long - half already done. Also need to make sure DS has all he needs for his trip to Wales next week. And it is DGD1's birthday tomorrow (she will be 3) so DH & I are going to visit on Sunday - so need a present for her. Oh, and I need to get some more of the church magazine done as it has to be printed earlier than usual this time. So that should keep me out of mischief for a while!

    Have a good day!

    Morning

Overslept this morning, so running a bit late - just a quick hello before taking the dog out. At least it's not raining.

Will be back later, hope everyone is OK x
