Morning all
Aime - Have a great day out
It's lashing down with rain here and I must admit all my veggies and strawberries are looking very sorry for themselves. Hopefully the sun will be back soon.
Well not much going on with me but a load of things planned for the weekend:
* Meal plans
* Sort out week away (for the week after next!)
* Sort out spare room!
* Start e-baying stuff again
* Washing and ironing!
(edited to add)
* Sort out budget
* Finalise what we are doing with the house
Oh and I'm also going to test drive a car (used) for me
Apart from all that I'm sure something else will no doubt crop up.
Hope you are all ok, but feel free to take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Good morning! Huge hugs to kyle and scuzz.
Had a great day at the Lincolnshire show yesterday. They had some huge bulls which were taller than me - they weigh about 1.5 tonnes :eek: :eek: *Big Boys* IYKWIMWe had a sandwich from hot rare-breed beef (Lincoln Red - the local cattle).
We saw some piglets that I took a fancy to - saddlebacks. I had room in my bag for 1 or 2 but DH stopped me *liberating* them - what a meanie :mad:
We saw some grown up versions of our chicks, so took some pics of them. There was a lovely cockerell, but as we arrived, he cut his comb badly, so was removed from the pen before I could take a pic. Bought a small drinker for our chicks, but kept my hands firmly in my pockets when I saw lots of other things I'd like.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Morning All
Good luck & hugs for Kyle & lo.
Also good luck for Scuzz - hope you find another job soon.
Yes its raining here today too. Have emptied dw and made packed lunches. Will do some washing - will be hard to dry but the forcast for the whole weekend is rain so not worth putting it off. Once Ive done the school run its straight to the PC shop to drop off my laptops. Want to talk to them as am seriously thinking about downgrading to XP, dont want to buy a new printer. Have had a look on the techie board and thats what they seem to recommend - we will see.
So has have no computer today I reckon Im going to get loads of housework done. Will thoroughly clean front room and hallway, swish bathrooms and attempt kids rooms!
Need to get some road tax and will pop into the farm shop to pick up our favourite locally produced sausages - pork and apple. DS has footie training tonight so will either be a j pot or chip shop. We are going to Belgium for the day tomorrow so will try and be good and have j pot.
Catowen - I had the same problem in this house - when we renewed the kitchen the builder cleaned the drains and what he pulled out was disgusting so they were quite blocked. In winter you couldnt smell anything but in summer there was always a smell there. Hope you get it sorted.0 -
Morning!
AMIE - hope you enjoy your day out!
Kyle - good luck at the hospital, hope all goes well xxx
Catowen - hope you get your problem smell in the kitchen sorted out
quickly!
Plans for today are lots of baking for the church cake stall tomorrow plus must do some ironing.
DS1 has got another interview on Monday, this time at the Little Chef near us, hope he gets it this time as he's getting quite down with all the rejection plus he's got no money. Luckily his Nan has offered to pay for his driving lesson this week.
No rain here at the moment so hope to get some washing out when its finished in the machine.
Have a good day all if possible.
(((hugs))) to those feeling rough xxx
Take care xxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning everyone
It's raining here as well, seems like it has rained constantly for the last 3 weeks
Well last day at work today then im off for 2 1/2 weeks yipee, am very glad of the break. Have packed suitcases so just toiletries and tickets to sort, which is good for me as we normally leave it until the night before and have a mad panic. Have discovered we had lost a paticular essential item, dive mask (we are going diving) but have discovered it's at OH brothers house which we will collect tonight.
Have accidently:p run out of food so OH is taking me out for a meal so hopefully we can chill later after it's all done.
(((hugs Kyle, Twink and lo hope everything goes okay for you today.

Kyle, I’m so sorry that lo has to go back to theatre…thinking of you both today.
Twink, we’re all missing your posts.
Well, I had a great day yesterday…
Went to sports day and watched ds2’s little face beam when he came first in his race! It was great, not because he came first, but because this is a child who has absolutely no confidence in himself, so it meant so much to see him achieve something he didn’t believe he could do. He hasn't stopped talking about it since!
Also, I’ve been dithering about going on holiday this year and to be honest I’d talked myself out of it…the main reason being that dd (17) doesn’t want to come, which is understandable at her age, but I’m not happy about leaving her behind. I know she’ll be fine, but I do worry.
Last night Mr Pink and I had a chat about it and he talked some sense into me…….the upshot was that I agreed with him that it was unfair to deprive the boys (and us) of a holiday just because dd doesn’t want to come, so he didn’t waste any time and as soon as I agreed he booked it. Leaving it to the last minute meant we got the holiday at a mega bargain price…so we’re off to France next Friday! :eek:
What will make it extra special is that HariboJunkie is going to be there at the same time so she’ll be coming down to stay with us for a couple of days…….We’re really looking forward to seeing her, dbil and the girls. :j
I have so much to do between now and then, but hopefully I’ll get everything sorted out. Dd is to stay with my Dad while we’re away, I need to get the cat sorted with kennels and ask my neighbour to take care of my plants and veggies. Lots of shopping and organising to be done……Can you tell that I’m in a complete panic??? Hopefully I’ll get everything organised in time and it’ll all be worth it in the end.
In this next week I imagine that the housework will probably go to pot and as for OS meals…….thank goodness for the freezer!
Right, better get on with it……
Have a good day everyone.

Morning folks :hello:
Just back into w*rk yesterday. My partner and I had a couple of weeks off. We went for a short break to County Tyrone and walked round a few forest parks. Very enjoyable. The weather was great for the first couple of days then it rained thereafter but that didn't stop us getting out and about.
We eased ourself back into w*rk with a 2 day week. Not quite so bad then. I called at the local market this morning for some fruit and veg.
At the weekend we might go for a walk depending on the weather. Other than that we will relax in front of the TV.
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Good Morning All
susie - good luck for today with kyle.
(((hugs))) scuzz
amie - enjoy your day out.
Yipee - its friday. I so need this wk end. Dont plan to do a great deal, other than the usual housework/shopping. I want to chill! Ive been so tired this week. I could sleep for England!
I had a letter y-day from the the passport office, acknowledging they have cancelled my old passport, due to me losing it, and my new one will be with me shortly.
Right, best finish my breakfast
Catch you later
