Can't see this sofa in the catalogue though, (unless I'm daft!) so presume it may be old stock? Not that it makes a difference.

But it was just too good an offer to miss out on, so thanks for posting about it!

from what ive gathered it is what we call a NIC or not in catalogue line. ie theyve got their hands on something half way through the catalogue that they can pile high and sell cheap, but as there is no long term contract to supply its a case of once its gone, its gone.

the fact that they were able to offer you a delivery date suggests to me that they are fast approaching the end of the stock - clearing space in the warehouse for all the delights of cat launch this saturday, and the build up to christmas. the only other time you tend to get such a fast turnaround on a sofa is if you order an unpopular sofa, or a popular sofa in an unpopular colour

Cheers for this thread! OH and I have been after a set of chocolate brown leathers for a while, but were overwhelmed with choice! At least most people are pleased with them.

Well, as mentioned a few posts back, I ordered the Farley regular sofa on the 24th at about 6pm, and by 12pm today it had arrived! Cracking speed that!

The driver and his mate even very kindly took it over to my brothers house across the road (as there is no room at mine right now) and took it into his lounge without any fuss. Comes in a cardboard box as another poster said, so got some squeezing to do before it goes in the brown bin!

Haven't checked it yet, but 'sofa' so good! :D (groan...!):p

Wow!! Certainly good speedy service there then and especially good of them to take it over the road.

Has anyone got this sofa please? If so how soft/tough is the leather and how well (or not) has it lasted?

As it is now in the sale i am considering getting it as it has pocket sprung seating (which if its anything like our pocket sprung bed then it woll be very comfy), also buffalo leather which i have looked up and its supposed to be hardwearing. As we have a dog (see avatar :-) ) i would prefer a tougher leather which would resist his claws when he jumps up and down.

I have been looking up on the care of leather and there seems to be differences of opinion on how to. Some say use cleaners/conditioners others say just a damp cloth. What do you use and how well has it worked? Thankyou
JUST GOT THESE YESTURDAY AND THEY ARE THE DOGS !!!!!!!!,BRILL

Well i got my refund cheque for the 2 seater as it eventually ended up dropping in price to just £139.99 so i ended up getting a £38.01 refund. So a 3 and 2 seater leather sofa set for just over £300 cant be bad.

From the service i have received after shopping with Argos Direct i would certainly recommend them.
  • Hi could anyone please tell me the measurement of the large farley sofa from arm to arm so i know exactly how much seat space you get?
