'Farley' Leather sofas anyone?

Options
Has anyone got this sofa please? If so how soft/tough is the leather and how well (or not) has it lasted?

As it is now in the sale i am considering getting it as it has pocket sprung seating (which if its anything like our pocket sprung bed then it woll be very comfy), also buffalo leather which i have looked up and its supposed to be hardwearing. As we have a dog (see avatar :-) ) i would prefer a tougher leather which would resist his claws when he jumps up and down.

I have been looking up on the care of leather and there seems to be differences of opinion on how to. Some say use cleaners/conditioners others say just a damp cloth. What do you use and how well has it worked? Thankyou

I can't comment on this sofa but we ordered one of the Bari sofa sets. We decided not to keep it and Argos took it back no problems; just make sure you can wrap it back up exactly as it came.

I can't really help you much, but I've ordered a suite today, looks like a bargain, and as Repo said you can always send it back if its no good.

What made you send it back? Quality, comfort?

mike.hutch which one have you ordered and do you know when you are expected to get it delivered?

I ordered the Farley, a three seater, two seater and a chair. Comes to £511 for the lot. I only ordered yesterday so I don't know when it will be delivered, it says they will ring and it could be between 7 and 28 days.

I only found this thread after seeing the sofa and searching google for any more info, as you can see I'm not much of a regular poster here.

:rotfl: Good point. Although as my current one has removable covers theres not really anywhere for stuff to get. Will give it the once over though to make sure.

Well mine is ordered and they rang Friday night but i wasnt here so they left a message. I rang back today and i could have had it delivered this week on Friday but i decided to go for Monday next week between 10am-2pm. Thats quite good as its not an all day waiting in for delivery, you get from 7am-12 (think it was) 10am-2pm or 1pm-5pm, something like that anyway. Gives me chance to sort out here a bit and clear the clutter behind the current one :o

If anyone else gets theres before me i would appreciate opinions on the quality etc and if not then i will let you all know next Monday.

Is anyone else going to take out the 3 year cover against accidental damage etc? Im thinking about it. Not bad price as it would have been £99 per sofa pre sale price but as its in the sale the cover costs just £35 per sofa. Probably a good idea what with me having a dog. It covers against rips, tears, spills, stains etc and if they cant repair then they give you vouchers for the price paid to get a new one.

The quality was fine - no problems there. What we didn't realise when we ordered it was that the seat depth was only 52cm whereas we found that we needed one with 55cm minimum. We're not really big people but it felt like we were perched on a bench.

Most Councils will dispose of bulk waste for a small fee. Ours charge £35 for as much as you want.
