Just ordered a Large and a Chair!! I also got the 3 year cover against accidental damage... Although I am not sure why at that price however I do have 3 growing boy's and one DF so I may need it... Also my baby (18 mnts) is up to and in to everything so it maybe a good thing!!
I have decided that if I don't like them this time I am going to send them back.
Right off to plan the decorating..................... Poss 28 day's to do it....DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j0 -
The quality was fine - no problems there. What we didn't realise when we ordered it was that the seat depth was only 52cm whereas we found that we needed one with 55cm minimum. We're not really big people but it felt like we were perched on a bench.
May have the same problem as you then, as the Farley is quoted as having a seat depth of 52cm but ours measures 58cm. So quite a bit of difference there. I can imagine what youre saying about feeling like youre on a park bench as with less of a seat you would have to be more upright.
Thanks for mentioning this as thats something i certainly would not have thought about.0 -

I was thinking the same as I like a deep seat however I have ordered them.. although I will send them back if they aren't any good!!!!
I am keeping my finger's crossed that they will be ok as i have already spent the money I will save (well mentally anyhow)DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j0 -
You know what ive been doing, testing out what a shallow seat will be like and its not that comfy.
Depending on what kind of sofa you have now just take off your back cushion, put a normal cushion behind it or whatever you want, enough to bulk it out. The put your normal cushion back and it will just stick out further onto the seat if you see what i mean. That way you can see what its like to sit on. Ive just had the kids trying it too and they dont like the feeling of not having the seat edge sitting against the back of your knees.
Well its due to come now and weve agreed to try it for a couple of days before making any rash decisions about sending it back. Will be a little cramped though as im keeping my current sofas in case i decide against the new one.0 -

I bought a leather sofa from argos may 2005, It was there 4 rated leather.
I've still got it and its in great condition although we bought two larges and they are only just 3 seaters at a sqish.
Still with the £630 total we paid0 -
Soz havent been to update since delivery on Monday but they came and we are pleased with them and keeping them. Im so pleased as i was worried having not seen them etc.
WARNING:- Make sure you have someone to help you get them in as they come in boxes  and the delivery drivers are not allowed to get them out the boxes and bring them in for you. They are only allowed to handle them in the boxes, so if the boxes dont fit through the door youve had it. Well, they wouldnt fit through my door (not suprising though) so the choice was to let them take them back or have them sit in my front garden until i could get them in myself (was at home on my own at the time and it had been pouring with rain on and off so didnt want to chance on them sitting in boxes and getting wet).
Anyway, i stood there looking puzzled and was wondering what to do. I told them my other new one about 8 years ago came in polythene and i thought it was daft having them in boxes. They agreed but said it was to do with new regualtions about recycling. Then they said as long as i didnt tell they would get them out the boxes for me and take them into my room. :T They said if they damaged or marked them on the way through i would have to say they were like it when i took them out the boxes though. Anyway they took them through no probs and they look good.
I have the 3 seater and a 2 seater but no way would you get 3 on the 3 seater. You would just comfortably get 2 on it (perhaps 3 with a big squeeze). Very comfy though which i supposae is due to the pocket sprung seating. They come with a sample piece of leather attached which i have taken out and scratched with my nail to imitate my dogs claws (im not mad really) and its really good because it just doesnt mark. Still havent let my poor dog on it though without having him lay on something.
