It is quite interesting how the work life balance affects things like eating etc, and as soon as we feel we are slowly getting back on track so does the eating ...
maybe the answer is working on the balance and not the diet?
Thanks El, you're right of course, but I think I'll be better at it once Mr Hbbb is back at work and once I finish a couple of client projects which are taking more physical and mental time than they really should.
Trying to follow your example with the overtime issue and "set" my hours but because. Mr Hbbb's off I'm having to adjust every day! Should be working now whilst he's out but my laptop is being a pickle! Taking time out on threads whilst it takes an hour to reboot itself!
Hope you're getting some garden time in and planning a restful Easter x

Quick update on the last couple of days:
What I did:
* Lots of work
* Lots of laundry (whilst weather is so good ... see simple pleasures)!
What I didn't:
* Stick to dietWill get back on track next week when I'll have my routine back to normal without dear old Mr. Hbbb bobbing about!
* Check in with progress update on April goals (feeling guilty about this A*M because you are so on top of yours!) This in itself will be a goal for the weekend!MFW actions: NSD yesterday, so total gradually creeping up; couple of spends today though as went to lunch 50 odd miles away with Mr. Hbbb's sister and hubby, which was lovely. Bought bread for Mr Hbbb's chicken sandwich he has his eye on (lots of l/o chicken from dinner with son etc in week) whilst I chose hot cross buns as vegetarian alternative for my tea!
Have checked with mortgage as today's the day statement is drawn up and official figure is £108,149.05 ... so April's goal is achieved! :T
This puts us 7 months ahead of where RBS think we should be and right on target for our MF date of 2020 (4 years early). If we can do it sooner though, we will.
Although I'm a very positive person, I know some of you will share my minor niggle about the above sum ... although it beats the target of owing <£109 k by the end of the month, that odd £149.05 is a very irksome figure. I'm feeling a bit of a Tilly Tidy coming on from my work account, just to see if I can tidy up that messy row of numbers! Hmm, plan for next week! Might mean bit of belt tightening till end of month but freezer is in serious need of emptying anyhoo!Grey Clouds: Some critter has eaten two of my lettuces and Mrs. Blackbird has trashed my leeks - I caught her in the act. Gardening is now on the to do list for Saturday!
Silver linings: Got up at 6 and had all my work finished and ready to leave house by 11 this morn to go to Mr. Hbbb's sister's so very pleased with time management (in context of my post the other day)!
Daily declutter: none today as very busy but mum is doing a bootsale on Sunday and is touting the family for bobbins to sell so will be going a 15 in 15 on Saturday to find supplies for her!
Simple pleasures:
* Getting two loads of washing out onto line and dry in same day (first time this year)! Small line so it has to go out in shifts!
* Lemon and ginger herb teas from L*dl. Great for nausea and half the price of health shop / posh tea shop.
* Doggie welcomes upon returning! The boy was so excited he grabbed a gardening glove from by the back door and ran around the kitchen with it! That's true love that is!
Hope everyone's OK ... happy holidays to those breaking up for the long weekend, big hugs to those who are having to work through it. If it's any consolation I'll be working tomorrow and Monday too but I'm taking the whole weekend off this weekend!
Now off to update signature re: mortgage goal, good times yeah! :TStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Ahhh, am with you on this one El, it's the best aid to a good night's sleep I can think of! The very best version is when the weather dries the washing in time for you to put it straight back on the bed so it's as fresh as can be!

Ta for stopping by El and for the advice. No I don't know this, but would happily true anything to restore a little oomph! Mystical, medicinal tonic sounds just right! Is this a health shop purchase or do one of the SMs do it?Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Naughty Mrs Blackbird.
Have you put out a contract on her?0 -

I'm on plan B for today already as unfortunately I either overstated the benefits of the lemon and ginger tea on nausea or I drank so much of it I diluted it's benefits ... Either way last night's hot cross bun didn't stay down too long (I only ate one and I'd been so looking forward to it).
Monster headache too so instead of full work day I'm now having a slow morning to see if the headache and nausea will lift then maybe work a little later!
Mr Hbbb has taken over workroom with his marking and is grudgingly doing that as his own plan b, plan A would have been garden, hammock, cider, garden, hammock, but it's very cloudy and there's a strong breeze right up the back garden!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Hi A, I know, it should be the excuse to get a kitten I've been waiting for (as "I want something to cuddle up with" is not a valid excuse in Mr Hbbb's opinion) but just can't do it! If I thought a cat's presence would be enough to keep her off the beds that would be ok but cats tend to be over zealous and indiscriminate hunters at heart, so I guess (a) it's my fault for encouraging them all to come visit at the back door and (b) I'll have to rethink my beds in terms of blackbird protection.
The bed in question is very close to the chicken area, perhaps I should train them up as security in a big bird bouncers kind of way?Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!
