Nice result about the student, and the agency knows you can be relied on in an emergency. Can only be a good thing:)

On some of the longer cruises they start passenger choirs who do a performance late in the cruise.

It looks like a lot of fun, and I'd like to join in, but the sad truth is, no choir would want me!

Sounds like the choir is good for mind and body :T

Lovely to see you over here C*M ... there's usually something mad going on as we try to pay off our big old debt to the bank!
Yay! :j To a student! :j and all the financial relief that brings.

Thanks A*M ... it won't be a huge amount but I'm rejigging the meal plan to suit his teenage appetite and our need to make it worthwhile. Hope to gain an extra £50 - £60 MOP from having him, although they pay by cheque after the students leave so it'll take a while for the cash to come through! All good though!

Thanks Goldie, yes very glad to have got going with this student co, hopefully all will go well!

Really did enjoy the choir ... it's a 10 week project (with a chance to join the main town choir at the end of it). I used to belong to the youth version when I was about 10 so quite like the idea of getting back into it. I can't read music though which is a bit of a stumbling block for the main choir, but thankfully they didn't mind for the Tuesday group! You're right about it being good for mind and body and I really do need to be doing something currently.

I'd have a go if I was you, the passenger choir sounds like real fun (and we could exchange notes)! :rotfl: See what i did there! x

Hope everyone is alright, thank goodness it's Friday tomorrow!

    ;) MFW actions:

    Today's AA action: NSD 4/7

    AA day 55 / 100 = £909 / £2,000

    :) Silver Lining:

    1) Mr. Hbbb was well enough to go back to work today (and a much better colour too).
    2) His appointment (The Appointment) has been rescheduled for after half term, which makes it that little bit less scary.
    However ....

    :( Grey Clouds:
I'm afraid I can't go into detail, but today he was told something by one of his classes (passing on something that was said to them) that was totally inappropriate for him to be told courtesy of students, not management, which has given him back the grey cloud that the change of appointment had lifted slightly.

    :p Daily Declutter:

Freecycle items finally picked up so 2 more items have left the house = 313 / 365

    :D Simple pleasures:

    * Fitted in a dog walk with mad pair at lunchtime, little park is looking lovely and autumnal.
    * Trying to feel a little more on top by getting organised.

    :o Guilty pleasures:
The Apprentice is back ... don't usually like reality TV but can't help enjoying this, makes me feel like I'm actually a sensible human being by comparison (well ish!) :rotfl:

    Hope everyone is Ok.

Thanks for stopping by Kate, yup, we're mostly the same, not into any of the other "popular" stuff - Strictly, X-Factor, GBBO etc, we don't go anywhere near them but The Apprentice just captures us ... I think it's because there's always a candidate who's just like someone you got stuck working with once-upon-a-time, that makes it compulsive viewing in a cringe-worthy way, it's so bad it's good! x

    Another Apprentice fan here!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
