What's selling on eBid.
I've just had a good look at the stats for some of the sellers who are taking part in my challenge and I can now declare that the top selling items on eBid appear to be:
Coins
Postcards
Books
Magazines
Small collectibles
Crafting & cardmaking supplies
Silver jewellery
Prints
Printed merchandise
Small, unusual items of 'jumble'
This is not a definitive list, nor is it in any way official, it's just my personal observations and I found the results quite interesting.I reserve the right not to spend.

I've tried books an dmagazines and have never even had a watcher on my items despite the same stuff flying from the listings on ebay. I even tried searching for completed sales on books to see if I could get tips on listing differently and got virtually no returns at all.
I had the impression that good craft items went well, I was browsing last week actually.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've sold a handful of books on Ebid, but I find the relisting a pain. All my items have ended again and I need to get around to listing them - ho hum.

If it isn't it may still be worth emailing them to ask as they seem very happy to encourage new users, although I think they need to be careful spamming the ebay forums as some of the other users are getting a bit cross now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The listings do automatically repost about 10 times, after that you have to manually do them again.

The special offer for lifetime Seller+ is still on, it's posted on the main page once you click through your country of choice. They've also started running monthly competitions via their online newsletter and have a new turbo lister thing called... umm, forgot! I haven't tried it out (go nothing to turbolist :rotfl: ).
I keep a list of stores for the challenge so I can check the sales and tally up scores at the end of each month so feel free to PM if you have a store and want listed there. I can't post the link on here as the list contains links to the sellers' stores.I reserve the right not to spend.

I have just put my first listing on ebid and wait to see what happens - we definitely need an alternative!!
I only have the one item in the moment (in quantity) so have joined at the level which allows BIN, not a craft in the strict sense of the word so will have to see if there are any buyers - have had a few viewings already.;)
They also allow Google Checkout as a form of payment, and although it is slightly off the point would just like to let others know I set this up on my web site just last month and so far I am well impressed, as are my buyers - much more user friendly than Paypal and sooooo much cheaper!!!:j
And they send the money to your account asap!:T0 -

Now if only I could think of a reason why Google checkout isn't allowed on Ebay0
