So 9.05 today the phone goes " Elantan did you enjoy your holiday? I bet your all rested and ready to tackle life again, listen I have 60 hours overtime for you, these are the dates"
The caller didn't like it when I said NO, they tried to get me to change my mind, I am literally just off the phone to them after hearing how much they need me and how badly the shifts need covered ....
But NO for the full month of Febraury was the answer0 -
Well done you for sticking to your guns!Must use my stash up!0

Wow, El, that was great that you managed to stick with your decision in the face of such insistence... good for you.
You're absolutely right about your health, and your life too ... sadly, I've had personal experience of that within my close family, its an utter tragedy for a life to be wasted like that. Stick with it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well done El.

Thanks everyone, tbh i started to get a bit irritated by the end of the phone call... i said no i gave my reasons ( healthy, time etc) and it seemed that my reasons where not enough, i was sat on the phone thinking you care absolutely nothing about me at all, you just want a body in the unit so that the shift is covered, the fact i am saying no seems not to be penetrating into your brain.
it made me more determined
in other news ... has anyone read : the long and short of it?

for those that have read Tim Hales smarter investing i would recommend it, i found it to be a better read than Tim Hale tbh, that was my light holiday reading lol
I have came back with a renewed vigour for dealing with things and have spent the day sorting out the money, Mr El and i will be meeting once a week to discuss money, i am trying to get us to a stage where we could manage if i went to uni and i didnt have a job... dont get me wrong i intend on working i do, i just want to know we will manage should i not be.
With that in mind small Tilly Tidy done today, a general sweep up of the accounts so that i know whats happening, i am looking into Charles Stanley Direct as well to change to for my I.S.A come April. i am not happy with H&L's new pricing charges so i will be moving my business elsewhere, i really liked H&L for their simplicity as well but this obviously comes at a cost.
Have been on the phone to the guy that is reviewing my pension, i need to put some more man hours into this as well, and i want to start paying more into the mortgage as well ... trying to juggle many balls at the once as usual, but all the balls seem connected in one way or another
Hope everyone is good0
